I had a consultation with Dr. Joyce about upper and lower bleph surgery because I had under-eye filler that wasn’t sitting right, and I thought surgery might be the best solution. I’ve been to other doctor-led clinics before, but this experience was completely different. I was a bit apprehensive going in, expecting that a plastic surgeon would be eager to operate, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. In fact, he actively pushed me away from considering surgery.

Instead of jumping straight to surgery, he suggested a more gentle approach and recommended treatments that were actually better suited to my situation—even ones he doesn’t offer at his own clinic. What stood out to me the most was his honesty and focus on what was best for my situation, not just what he could do for me.

I left feeling like I’d been given good, unbiased advice. I just wish he offered the treatment he suggested!

I am so happy I went to Dr Joyce. He is exceptional at what he does. I had no doubt that this was who was going to perform my surgery from our first conversation. I knew instinctively that this was someone I could trust and who was going to do an incredible job.

Additional upside for me, going to a Surgeon in Ireland, I am just a few hours drive away, easy to follow up, overall less riskier than going abroad to God knows where. It’s more expensive but you need to weigh up the value of going to someone expert at their craft, takes their time to get it right and is not treating you like a commodity on an assembly line!

Got my lip lift done last year November 2022. Got tired of fillers and was looking for a permanent solution. The results were great. My upper lip is very proportional, even and the scar is minimal. The surgery went well with no complications. Because I live 4 hrs away from Dublin, I was able to have videocalls with Dr Cormac to discuss the procedure and follow ups after the surgery. I'm due for another little touch up soon and can't wait!

Cormac had changed how I look at myself.. he is absolutely fantastic and I’ve never felt so com in my entire life.. it was over before I knew it! I had otoplasty done in my right ear as it stuck out massively compared to my left ear.. it was only something that bothered me and it made a huge difference in how I look at myself.. I had a facelift and blepharoplasty done by Dr Cormac I couldn’t be happier with the results. However, it was his ability to repair a botched breast surgery I had done 15 years ago that amazed me. I’m really happy with the results. He was the only surgeon in 15 years who had the confidence and ability to do this repair.
I have experience of other commercially run “clinics” which put profit before patients . I am so happy to have met somebody with ethical standards who puts patience before profit.

Cormac made me feel so safe and comfortable the entire experience, guided me to the right size and shape for me, never felt any pressure, staff at the clinic were great and so helpful.

I’m 5”1 55kg, previous size 32C, current size 32DD/E, implant I got was 375 high profile over the muscle.

Based on my height/weight/current size Cormac suggested 250-350cc implants, I was feeling slightly selfish so got a little bump to 375, definitely happy I went on the bigger side!

Healing was very straight forward, felt 90% better after 2 weeks, I wouldn’t say painful the first few weeks just slightly uncomfortable but very manageable.

My experience with Cormac Joyce was very positive. He was very approachable and easy to talk to. He was genuinely interested in improving my appearance and gave me good advice. The facelift I had was most successful. It smoothed away a lot of the wrinkles on my face and tightened up my neck considerably. I now look fresher, less tired and all in all, it took about years off my age. I had recovered and could go out and meet people again after one week. The procedure was painless and the follow up care was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending Cormac and the Avoca Clinic if you are interested in a facelift.

Couldn’t recommend the Avoca team and Dr Cormac Joyce any higher. I’m 6 and 1/2 months post op but from the first appt and I explained what I hoped to achieve, Cormac was very realistic in terms of size shape the best type of implant for me and what he thought would suit my frame we discussed this at length and he answered any questions I had regarding the process and my potential concerns. I then went to the breast suite where I tried on a number of prosthesis with bras to see the overall look I was hoping to achieve. I decided in the breast suite on the implant and went ahead with a date for May there was no pressure on me to make any decisions at any point in fact I could have gone off and thought about it but I knew what I wanted so was eager to begin the process that was February and within a week I was booked in for May. Upon arrival the staff put me at ease straight away, on the way to the day ward every single member of staff smiled or acknowledged me, the nurse who looked after me was lovely we chatted before being seen by the anaesthetist who explained everything regarding the procedure and finally I met Cormac before who put me at ease completely. The guys that took me theatre were magic !! we listened to Bruno Mars before the procedure while I was being prepped ! Although it was a state of the art theatre there was nothing sterile or clinical about the staff or the atmosphere they were amazing every last one. I came around quite groggy but once I could manage I had tea and toast which I devoured with no nausea at all. I was in far less pain than I expected on the day and I thought it was down to the anaesthesia but the next day I found it manageable I took the strong pain relief for that day and the following and then started on paracetamol two days after surgery, if I was to describe the pain it would be like a weight on your chest some discomfort but very manageable. The healing process was great and within a week I was feeling back to myself I took the advice however took it easy no exercise attended the aftercare appointments continued to keep the dressings clean and let the implants settle in. Don’t be alarmed at this stage they will look unsymmetrical and a little strange but this does really settle after a week or two. Through every follow up appointment, the staff and care remained the same impeccable professional and relatable. On my final appointment I met with Cormac who took a look at the healing process and the recovery and discharged me. I wanted to give as honest detailed and accurate account of my experience for anyone who may be considering breast augmentation while also allowing myself some time to reflect before posting a review. I can genuinely say that 6 ish months post op my only regret is not having the procedure done sooner !!! The process went exactly as I had hoped and I’m fully sure that was down to the consultation process and the standard of care I received. If your looking for the best possible experience Avoca is the place that I would have top of my list for a consultation, go and decide the rest for yourself.
