Implant removal

WORTH IT$5,000
Was very happy I chose this surgeon from start to finish.Patient, kind and easy to talk to.All the nurses at the West Midlands hospital looked after me so well at a vulnerable time.Guy was fully committed to doing the enbloc procedure and took pictures to give me the peace of mind.Couldnt have chosen better.

Congrats on having the courage to explanat! How are your breasts looking now? I’m also looking at removal, was your right implant ruptured?
Hi,thankyou!im very happy I did it.Yes my right implant was ruptured but I had no idea Before surgery.......everything looked and felt fine.Im happy with how everything is looking.....I was so worried about that.At the moment anyways I seem to have escaped any wrinkles or dents......my natural breasts are looking pretty good to say what they carried for so long! Xx
I can’t wait to have them removed. It is scary to see the rupture that you were completely unaware of, can I ask which brand of implants you had? Like you I have no issues but the risk of ALCL makes me want to remove them. I am just really worried about what they will look like after as I was very small before!x
Well that’s what started my journey.A friend with implants got ALCL.Started reading about that and then all the other stuff came up......I decided to remove rather than replace. Its a very personal journey,I think you just have to do your research and make your own mind up.This site is really helpful. My implants were called Seben or siben.....the surgeon that took them out said they were known as “good implants” I’m just so glad I didn’t get new ones in ........knowing what I know now I could never have relaxed.

Explant 14 yr old 300cc silicone implants

Hi everyone,I’ve decided to review my experience.I explanted two days ago. So firstly I’ve loved my implants, never had any problems and they looked fantastic. Then a friend who had implants developed ALCL.I started reading and realised it was linked to implants, although very rare. Then came across so many more women’s stories of different issues and BII. When I sought advice a couple of surgeons said to get a new set for peace of mind. But I knew I would never have peace of mind and that I would keep facing it again. I made the decision to explant, which partly seemed crazy as I had no issues and loved the way they looked.I have two children now though and it does change your perspective. Found a surgeon that has done quite a few explants, his name kept coming up. He took pictures for me of my perfect implants as they came out. This site has helped me a lot so I thought I would share them [RS bleep]

Did insurance cover saline implant removal? I have bcbs Medicare
Hi,I paid to put them in and take them out.Mine were also silicone.
You were sure that they are in tact and they came out this way. I plan to do explant + lift and I have textured implants which got banned recently. Hope you will have a fast recovery. May I ask if you do the lift or just explant?
Hi yes,it was quite a shock to see that picture. My implants were also textured.Although not banned,I’d never had any issues.I decided to have the explant and then wait and see if I needed a lift.I don’t,I’m happy with the results as they at the moment, although I do wonder if things might still change a lot from here. Its two weeks ago today I had my op.I seem to have more than I remember so Im not sure if I’m swollen or not.I don’t go back to see my surgeon for another four weeks.Recovery has been much easier than when I had them put in.
