Today I sit here topless on my couch and I look down and feel so many mixed emotions. My real boobies are actually attractive. They took 1.5 years to fill in and “fluff”. But finally I can feel some fat in there instead of hard 500cc saline implants and It feels great!! As you can see I still have visible scars and what I think are keloids. I was hoping they’d be more faded by now but they are not and that’s ok because I feel like every year my boobs look better and better so I’m giving this some time. May try laser treatments at some point as well. Who knows.
What I do know is that my entire sexuality, self image and confidence was tested since removing my implants. It’s been tough and I miss my big boobs pretty much daily...but I love the person these scarred boobs represent and that has a deeper meaning than my fake boobs ever did.
I’d 100% recommend an explant to whoever is seeking it.

6 month update
It’s been over six months now. I’ve been through very low lows since surgery. It’s been difficult (still is pretty difficult) to reconcile my sexuality in this new body. I like to believe that I am a strong woman who doesn’t give a [RS bleep] about others opinions on my appearance. I like to pretend like I don’t need approval from others..but the thing I have learned is that it is not so simple. Some days i feel great. Some days I am empowered by my choices. Other days, I see big boobs on other women, look at my scars and question if I made the right choice. Of course I made the right choice though! I know a lot of my feelings come from social conditioning that’s made me feel as if I’m “not good enough” unless I look a certain way. Basically, as my scars heal I can feel bits of my soul healing too.
I am growing into my own power and that’s worth every ounce of pain. My growth has been priceless.
In regard to the boobs themselves: they’re great! I can feel some scar tissue inside of them (a couple of lumps) and I have developed keloid scars on some areas but overall, the have fluffed up and are getting better each week. I can go braless and feel sexy knowing that these are alllll mine.

I think you look great! I’m considering implants but im reading explant stories to weigh things up. Always remember it’s all psychological how you feel and think about yourself and how you think the world sees you.
You look great, woman!! I'm on my journey too, but still very hesitant to do a lift at the same time...How's the feeling in your nipples, has it changed?
Not easy decision once you know how you look with bigger breast, remember you are more than just Boobs! I think it take a strong woman to to do a removal without replacement. Being sexy is a whole ensemble of qualities inside of you and those implants are not sexy! You look very beautiful in that dress; moreover, you will be healthier in the long run! Take care and get a new hobby so you can get your mind off those boobs! lol (PS: I just had mine done so I know how you feel ; and very excited to have small boobs again!)
Looks great. I’m due to get my 30 yo silicone implants out next week. I am still on fence about a lift. Not sure I feel comfortable with my surgeon. I’m really freaking out. I am old now and everyone tells me I’m nuts to get out with nothing. I’m literally crying writing this and freaking out for next Thursday. I live in a small city in MT so the options are not great.
I'm sure you will do great. Best wishes!!!
I feel exactly the way you do and I appreciate your openness. I'm about to get my implants and (and a lift) removed in 5 weeks (May 28th) and I have days where I look at my implants and say, "They look really good and make me more proportionate." But then I hate the heaviness and hassle of them and they interfere with exercise. I have muscle pain in my right breast whenever I do plank pose, push ups, or chaturanga. It will take some time to reconcile my new look, so I completely get what you're saying. If this helps at all, your new boobs are my inspiration boobs! If mine turn out like yours I'll be so happy. You look totally rockin' with the smaller size. We can't be defined by ridiculous body ideals!

It’s been a while
Just wanted to show some updated pics. I’m back to normal and feel pretty much healed up minus some stitches still popping out. The scars are really just the worst par right now. Patience is key here....hoping they lighten up soon. Using bio oil and silagen scar cream

Also, my chest wall is uneven so that’s why they still dont look exactly the same. Dr Roudner did a great job getting them THIS close in size
Unfortunately doctors don’t always tell us on the front end that implants can and do deform your chest wall over time. They did for me. Your results are super. I used serica scar gel that I got at Walgreens after my lift. It’s the best out there. I’ve tried them all. I think you can get a 5 dollar coupon at their website too. They’ll fade. Give it a few more months. Congrats and happy healing!
Ah you look amazing girl! Thanks for the update, it’s so great to be be able to follow along and celebrate everyone’s unique journeys here :) I think your scars look fantastic for so early on and you look like you have great skin also!
Get the silicone scar gel strips from Amazon $30 for a good size roll (it’s one that has about (5) 5 star reviews) it’s easily as good as the surgeon office (which costs more than double) and works great!
