Disastrous Experience- Permanently Physically and Mentally Damaged

II underwent explant surgery and fat transfer with Dr. Robert Whitfield on November 14, 2023, after hearing a glowing endorsement on The Skinny Confidential podcast by Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick. I expected top-tier care, but my experience was devastating.

During my consultation, Dr. Whitfield dismissed my concerns about my low body fat and breast asymmetry, ignoring my kinesiologist friend's input and refusing to review pre-implant photos. His overconfidence felt dismissive, and my pre-surgery anxiety was brushed off. Despite hesitations, I proceeded, having pre-paid months ahead and traveled from California.

The surgery was a disaster. The results were severely asymmetrical, with breast deformity, a hematoma, adhesions, and persistent pain. The liposuction and BodyTite on my lean frame caused lasting fascia and nerve damage. Dr. Whitfield failed to properly repair my pectoral muscles or perform an adequate lift, leading to complications requiring a $45,000 revision surgery by a skilled surgeon in San Diego. At my 6-month follow-up, I learned I'll need a third surgery due to tissue loss and disfigurement from Dr. Whitfield's technique. I've spent over $120,000 out of pocket, including physical therapy, and endure daily physical and emotional pain.

The practice's COO verbally offered a $45,000 refund, but despite follow-ups, no resolution was provided. My current surgeon and all my other medical providers believe the complications stem from poor technique and that I have a strong case for medical malpractice. I strongly caution against choosing Dr. Whitfield for explant surgery. Seek a surgeon who prioritizes patient care. This nightmare continues to impact my life--save yourself the pain and look elsewhere.
