D cup, 335cc breast implant removal with capsulectomy - the right decision

After 7 years of implants, I opted for a breast implant removal with capsulectomy as I was experiencing a lot of symptoms that appeared to be linked to breast implant illness (dry eyes, brain fog, hormone imbalance, and more presently, allergies which had begun after implantation and were gradually worsening). Plus, I no longer liked the look of my implants which were rather large considering I started at 32AA and went up to a D cup with 335cc implants, and there was some contracture on the left side especially.
Dr. Fazel was brilliant from start to finish. He made me feel extremely comfortable with my decision and was realistic in explaining that the symptoms I was having may not be cured by having the implants removed and also that the look of my breasts would more than likely appear differently due to age, stretching, etc.
On the day of the operation, Dr. Fazel reassured me before going into surgery and was there afterward to make sure I was ok and let me know all had gone to plan.
After 6 weeks, I had a checkup, and both Dr. Fazel and nurse Sarah were complimentary about my new look, never once did I feel like they thought I should have kept the implants or had them replaced.
6 months on, I couldn't be more confident that I made the right decision for myself. Yes, I have gone back to a relatively 'flat' chest and have scars that are still fading (I have been using scar strips after a course of Kelocote to keep them hydrated) but I generally feel so much better. I have more energy, my allergies are mostly at bay and my hormones are in check. I can only assume that the progress will still carry on as their removal has only been a short time relative to how long I had the implants.
