He Cared More About Needing to File an Insurance Claim Than Helping Save my Life.
My medical doctor sent me to Dr. E for major medical intervention. I have a rare illness, and my ruptured implants have made my quality of life non existent. The surgery is approved through BOTH of my insurance carriers. I was told if I didn't have cancer he wouldn't help me. So I guess I just need to wait until my health deteriorates more in order to get any help from him. He is unethical, cherry picks surgeries he will do when it's an insurance related surgery. He has broken his contract agreement with my insurance company by only accepting certain patients. If you would like proof of this please refer to tricares contract agreement a doctor must sign if he agrees to take their patients. In the agreement with tricare a doctor is to take ALL cases, not just the ones he gets highest dollar for. I say this Because all he and his staff spoke of was money (never the impact on my health) , so this review isn't only opinion based. This reviews core foundation is based on facts.
His front desk person was unprofessional, and broke almost every hippa law there is to break. My privacy was non-existent. She let the entire waiting room know why I was there, my name, insurance carrier, etc....
I won't paint this doctor to be a bad plastic surgeon. His work is great. I am friends with one of his patients. It is not his surgical talent that is being called into question, it's his unethical behavior, his staffs illegal behavior, and his uncaring nature when a patient is being seen for help to give some type of quality of life back. My needs aren't for body image purposes. My need is for help with an illness that is keeping me from being physically able to even sit up. Why is my case different from a cancer survivors case? It came down to money and what insurance pays. I went to him begging for help to Regain my health. He only wanted to talk about money and insurance. That's truly heartbreaking. I hope Dr. E never has to know what trigeminal neuralgia does to one's life. I also hope he can see how he created a feeling of defeat for my husband and myself. A doctors medical oath should always be present when he is dealing with patients.
