10 months post op-small adhesion still on right breast but love them!

WORTH IT$12,000
It's been 10 months and I still have no regrets. Every time I look in the mirror I love my itty bitties. I feel more athletic and healthy and really just prefer the look of a flatter chest than big breasts. My right breast still has a small adhesion that I have been bad about massaging or seeing my myofascial therapist about. For some reason I am just not worried about it. Someone asked if muscles were under the muscle and yes, they were.

Here are my update pics. I know how scary and hard it is to decide to explant, what you might end up with, it's scary. My biggest recommendation, get a lift if it's been 20+ years and you've also breastfed babies AND find a myofacial release therapist for post surgery. My result is better than most b/c I got a lift AND one of my good friends from college is a doctor of myofacial release (Doctor of physical therapy, happy to share her info if you are in Portland) and has released fascia (adhesions, where the tissue adheres to the body and causes "indents") 2 and 5 months post surgery with her body work. It's all worth it ladies, it's a work in progress. I feel like me. Close to perfect, but I was never perfect even with implants. THESE imperfections I love, because they are me.

I’m sorry if I missed this but what doctor did you go to? I’m getting this done & I saw the amount you paid…I was afraid it’d be 12k+ man do they make a killing off of us. To remove an implant & lift the tissue…so expensive! I think my lift & implant was $5000 when I had it done lol.

I saw Dr John Lee. It is expensive but doctors spend A LOT of money on their education and also the surgery center, anesthesiology etc. You get what you pay for!

Hi, thank you so much for sharing your story and pics. Your results turned out great. I'm also in the Portland Metro area and have seen information on Dr. Lee that looks promising (he was your surgeon?). Can you please share who your Myofacial release therapist was? I have scarring now and imagine I will have even more if I have another surgery. Thank you.

Of course! Her name is Corrie Rofinot and she is a doctor of physical therapy and is an associate at This clinic: https://www.portlandmfr.com/
She has gently released a couple painful adhesions, she is amazing.

It was probably about six weeks, but she didn’t do any work directly on my breasts just the other fascia in my body until about 8 weeks.

Hey all! Sharing a quick photo I just took since you all have been asking! I will add more later! All is well! I am doing myofascial release with a great local physical therapist as well to keep from any scar tissue or adhesions forming to thick etc. LOVING my itty bitties! I have a 2 month post op apt in May and will update again then!

Thank you so much for sharing. The skin is healing well. Did he indicate how visible the scarring with be with time, or how long it takes to fade?
Who is the local myofascial therapist? Can you describe what that therapy is like? What do they have you do, how often, and how soon do you start that therapy after surgery?

Yes, it fades more and more. My friend had her explant/lift with him over a year ago and I can barely see her incision's, they looked like teeny tiny pieces of white thread when I looked close. He has a great scar cream he sells which I have been using. For 7 weeks out I'm REALLY impressed with his precision with everything.
So myofacial release is where a SKILLED practitioner uses their hands and expertise to keep the fascia of your body healthy and soft (everything in our body, organs, muscle, nerves is "wrapped" in a spiderweb of fascia, it's all connected. When we have trauma or are using our bodies in a way that encourages the fascia to "stick to itself" we get lumps and bumps, "knots" in our muscle etc which can "pull" on other structures and cause pain or dysfunction). I believe that the fascia of my body created my heart palpitations b/c of the capsule around my implants pulling up on the fascia surrounding my heart. My poor heart was stressed and constricted, once I explanted all my palpitations stopped!). Post surgery, when the space that the implant was in re-adheres to the rib cage, scar tissue can form and (only sometimes) create indentations or adhesions that pull on the internal fascia of the body.
I see Corrie at Portland Myofascial Release. There is an emotional component too in their treatment as we are not just our bodies! Sometimes there is trapped trauma that blocks our ability to heal. Probably the best in Portland. She is a doctor physical therapist. They will give you a superbill for insurance but they don't spend their time dealing with insurance (patient care is #1!) so that's something you'll have to do for your own reimbursement. Hope that helped!

The therapy is calming. The rooms are like a spa/massage room and Corrie's presence is very calming. She uses her hands to find where your energy is blocked and also pinpoints where there are "knots" or adhesions then uses her hands to release the fascia.

Thank you for posting. I’m looking to explant soon and I’m a similar before/after size

That's awesome!! I would definitely say though to do a lift at the same time if you think that you might have ANY "sag". Are you getting a lift?

Thank you for sharing! Looks SO MUCH BETTER than with implants.

I KNOW, I am so thrilled! I feel so good in my own skin right now!! I LOVE wearing shirts with no bra too lol. It's just so comfortable and I feel so proud of my own natural body at this point.
