Breast implant removal and uplift

I got breast implants in 1999 and by 2015, then aged 40 and having had 4 children, I was very unhappy with the appearance of them. I had consultations with various surgeons in Jan 2014 and was put off having anything done as was told getting them removed and redone would be a risky procedure due to the fact that the skin had thinned considerably and although they had encapsulated, it was safer to keep them in as blood flow would be reduced. I decided the risk wasn't worth it at that time, but a year later decided to go and see another surgeon as was getting so down about the appearance of my breasts. This is when I came across Mr Hurren's details and booked a consultation. Initially Mr Hurren was quite optimistic about what he felt he could achieve (although like the consultants a year before was not happy to do an uplift and new implants at the same time due to the risk factor so wanted to do them 6 months apart). I left feeling very optimistic but when I went back a second time he was a bit more cautious and I started having doubts again. Eventually I decided to go for it and get the removal and uplift although I was incredibly nervous as I knew the risk of losing blood flow to my nipples. Thankfully it was one of the best decisions I have ever made as despite his reservations Mr Hurren did a fantastic job and my breasts looked so much better afterwards I was thrilled. As an added bonus I had far more natural breast tissue then it was thought I would have (I was 34b before my initial surgery and 34dd afterwards but it was thought my pregnancies had resulted in me losing most of my natural tissue). I would highly recommend Mr Hurren, in my experience he did not give me any false expectations, was very honest about what I could expect and did an amazing job. I initially decided to leave it there and not get new implants 6 months later as I was quite happy with having smaller boobs and glad not to have silicone inside me anymore, but after a year or so I started to become quite self conscious about the lack of upper pole fullness and the fact then when I leaned forward there was loose skin on the top of my breasts - I am aware this is just one of the drawbacks of having an uplift without implants and unavoidable so I went back to Mr Hurren in October 2016 and asked for another consultation regarding getting implants in. My surgery was booked for 8 December and I will write a separate review regarding this.
