2025 Update
Since I know it’s hard to find long-term BFT reviews, I just wanted to share a picture of what I look now. I weigh 128lbs and the little bit of extra weight definitely helps my overall breast appearance! I am still so happy I chose a BFT over implants. :)
4 Months Post Op - Final Results
Hi everyone! I am posting my final review of this journey. First off, I am at my lowest weight I’ve been in a while. I fluctuate pretty predictably throughout the seasons, and right now is when I’m at my skinniest which is 120lbs (I’m 5’6, 29 years old). That’s 8lbs lighter than pre-surgery on both rounds. So, of course that is going to affect my breast size, but I feel very comfortable at this weight. Maybe I should have tried to keep on more weight, but it gets exhausting with my digestive issues and high metabolism.
Despite my weight loss, reviewing the before photos vs. now brings happy tears to my eyes. Sure, I am still small, and more pointy than I would ideally like, but the results speak for themselves- there is a massive improvement in my shape especially in the lower pole area. For the first time in my life, I am going braless out in public. Not all the time, and it has to be the right top with a little compression to give me confidence with my shape, but still, I am feeling so much more comfortable in my body. The 2nd surgery didn’t do much, although I do think it addressed my assymetry with my right breast. The lipo sites have healed well, the only thing I have noticed a TINY ripple/dip on my upper inner right thigh from where fat was harvested. It’s hardly noticeable and in a pretty hidden place.
I’m going to be paying off this debt for a while, but was it worth it? Absolutely. I am extremely grateful for what Dr. Connall was able to do for me, and I felt safe trusting him with my body. He did advise me that the “stakes are higher” for someone like me- with low fat and what he considered “great skin”…warning me that things like rippling can happen. However, if all I’m walking away with, negatively speaking, is a minuscule dip on my inner thigh and a lower credit score, I can certainly live with that!
If you’re considering BFT, first and foremost, find a surgeon who has a TON of experience with it, don’t settle for anything less. Get multiple opinions, and choose the one who doesn’t shy away from explaining the risks, and managing your expectations. Choose the one who actually shows the most care about your one and only body.
Second, know that your results aren’t guaranteed and they will most likely be pretty subtle, unless you’re starting with basically nothing like me. If you want a serious change, implants may be your best option, but just like this procedure, they come with risks (arguably higher ones). They also require maintenance.
Lastly, struggling with body image issues is no joke, and can really take a toll on your mental health. I still have my struggles like we all do, but my final advice is to be less critical of yourself.
I met a woman recently who was in a horrible accident 11 years ago which resulted in her losing her right arm and leg. She shared her near-death experience, and her journey to self love and acceptance- battling beauty standards and her perception of self after the accident. She had overcome so much, and it showed in the way she spoke and carried herself. Not to mention, she was absolutely gorgeous! She spoke on the struggle to see our true beauty that we’ve had from the start. And how much time we waste thinking we can be better, when we’re already incredible. Her words really made me think.
Cosmetic surgeries can absolutely help self-esteem and I am certainly not against them (obviously! This definitely helped me), but just know you can never really see yourself through the eyes of others, who see SO MUCH MORE than our flaws, and more often than not love us just as we are. If you choose a cosmetic surgery, really make sure you’re doing it for YOU!
So, in conclusion, BFT was a great choice for me. It may be for you too, just make sure you manage your expectations, pick the right surgeon, and be kind to yourself along the way. Your bank account will take a hit, but if that’s something you can manage, know the results can really feel priceless. Thanks for reading and following me along my journey! Best of luck to you all!

2 Months Post Op - 2nd Round
This will be a quick and brief update. I’ve continued to lose volume and have shared a photo of current vs around the same time of recovery during the first round. The differences are much more subtle this round- which makes me a little sad but I do still see improvement especially in my right breast. They’re slightly fuller than the first round and definitely more symmetrical. I have to remind myself I didn’t do this to achieve bigger breasts- I did it to improve my shape which this whole experience definitely has. I’m maintaining a weight of about 125lbs. That’s it for now!
