Breast fat transfer for 28 year old

Breast Fat Transfer For 28yo With Tuberous Breasts

WORTH IT$15,000
My breasts have been a major source of insecurity for me since I was probably about 12 years old. I waited patiently for them to "fill out", but unfortunately they never did.
At age 22 I figured out I have tuberous breasts, which was incredibly disheartening to learn. I then started doing my research on corrective surgeries and at the time thought implants were my only solution.
I seriously considered them and even had a surgery scheduled at one point in New York with a doctor that told me the only way I could fix my condition was with a periareolar breast augmentation with implants. Basically they’d cut all around my aerolas to fix my puffiness, and insert an implant. I chickened out and canceled the surgery, because I knew deep down implants were not for me.
Fast forward to present day, where after researching breast fat transfer as a corrective surgery option and narrowing down my options to a few experienced breast fat transfer surgeons in the PNW, I finally found my doctor- Dr. Connall.
I scheduled my consultation with him and knew quickly he was the one. Not only does he have great bedside manner and a compassionate team, but I felt he genuinely cared about me, my goals, and body. He respected me not wanting implants and did not push them on me whatsoever, though did explain the pros and cons of BFT vs. implants.
I should also mention Dr. Connall said he wouldn't really call my breasts tuberous, though he said they do have some characteristics of them. Apparently what I have going on is an easier fix in comparison to "true" tuberous breasts. In other words, my case is mild. He also said my areolas will improve once more fat is added around them.
I’m 5’6 and at the time of my consultation I was 118lbs. Dr. Connall did tell me I needed to gain 10-15lbs in order to successfully do this surgery, and I have since gained 12lbs (weighing at 130lbs in these photos). The weight gain has been a challenge.
My surgery is next Monday the 17th and I’m excited and nervous. Dr. Connall said my results won’t be drastic like an implant would offer, but he will be able to improve my overall shape, which is my main goal. Since I do not want implants, I think this is my best shot.
I’ll try to keep the rest of my updates short, but just wanted to provide lots of context to other women who may be in a similar situation as me. I’ll post another update next week after the surgery. Thanks for reading!

I´m sure you have made a good decision. I went for breast implants, had to have them replaced twice because of capsel fibrosis. Last year i had them replaced finally and had a fat transfer done, i´m much happier with the results, more natural and no more implant issues. Wishing you good luck.

Thank you so much. I'm glad to hear you're happy with your BFT and really appreciate you sharing! Did a good bit of the fat stick around? I'm worried about weight loss after my procedure and how that may effect my results. I have been around 120lbs for a decade. I don't feel good at the weight I'm at now and my body keeps trying to lose it but know I must maintain it for a few months. Even after then I probably shouldn't try losing it all. Curious if you have any thoughts/experience with this?

Yes, my result is good. Of course right after surgery they looked fantastic, the swelling went down over the first 2 weeks, but I am very happy with the final result. I am also rather slim and fat had to be taken from 5 different areas to gather enough... It´s good if you keep your weight stabel after surgery. As I understand, once the fat cells have survived and grown on, you can loose and gain weight as you like, the fat tissue in the breasts will react like fat anywhere else, but it won´t "die off" again.

A few more details!

I can’t believe my procedure is in 4 days! I wanted to add a few more details that may be helpful.
Dr. Connall will be taking the fat from my flanks (lower back) and thighs. I weighed in at 128lbs during our pre-op, and Dr. Connall said he’d *maybe* be able to get 150cc for each breast. He encouraged more weight gain if possible. My surgery ended up getting pushed out a full week (original surgery date would have been the 10th), but luckily this has given me more time to gain a couple more lbs.
Before prepping for this surgery, I was working out 5-6 times per week (barre and strength training). I have since dialed it back quite a bit because I could not keep the extra weight on me! Looking forward to getting back into my normal routine but know I will have to go easy for a while. Just have to keep reminding myself it’s for a good cause. :)
That’s it for now. I will post another update after my surgery.

I’m super excited for you!!! Make sure you ask the surgeon how he treats the fat. You want the surgeon to treat it carefully so more survives. Eat healthy and eat good fat. Don’t let anyone hug you for a while. Lol I love my fat transfer!!!

Take pictures during your journey. Prepare yourself that you will be big at first….but most of it is swelling and will go away within the first month. Then it is mostly fat. Have expectations that you will only gain maybe double or a cup size than what you are right now ❤️❤️ Im a large B and started with nothing. I’m going for my third fat transfer, but it’s worth it!!

I will for sure be taking more pictures! Thank you I'm happy to hear you have felt it has been worth it. My surgery is tomorrow and I'm feeling all kinds of emotions! Your comment is encouraging.

Best of luck in your surgery, please keep us updated with your journey. I will be doing lipo with a fat transfer in December and am lucky if I could consider myself an A cup. Like you I am very active with minimal fat and am in the gym doing F45 training 6 days a week. A bit worried about not being able to train for a few months but hoping the recovery isn’t too bad. Excited for you, Take care ❤️

I have boobies!!

Wow, what a day! I had my surgery at about 12:30 PST time. Everyone I interacted with before surgery were so considerate and kind. They did prescribe me 0.5mg of Ambien to take before the procedure, which did help but I was still so nervous! Dr. Connall was amazing and really put my mind at ease. He even guided me into the anesthesia by with a nice visualization practice and rubbed my arm to comfort me which I really appreciated. Again, I truly felt that he cared about me.

The whole process today was seamless and I woke up feeling pretty decent for what I just went through! My inner thighs are incredibly sore which was expected, but my lower back and breasts really aren’t that bad. The most exciting part of all this, was that Dr Connall manage to put 280ccc EACH breast! There is guaze in the bras in these photos so they look especially large. I will take a photo tomorrow without the bra and gauze.

I will continue to keep my expectations low while I rest and rover, and eat of healthy fats, but so far I am very happy! :D
