Breast fat transfer surgery/ March 2023

I did a surgery with doctor Mat Hagstrom in March 2023.

I was following the doctor’s work for sometime (almost a year), and did more than one online consultation with him.

In March 2023, my work needed me to travel to the US and thought it's an opportunity to actually do the surgery with him. Just before booking the surgery date I learnt from the clinic that the doctor's license is under probation as he was undergoing a substance abuse program, but after asking some questions and talking to them I felt more confident. I was still anxious to be honest about doing it with him but still was also desperate to do this surgery.

Anyway I traveled and went through the whole surgery alone, which was hard but it was doable. I booked a nurse through a contact the clinic provided. The nurse took me from the clinic to the hotel after the surgery and I wanted her to stay with me for 4 hours at least that day, but they told me she stayed for 6 hours eventually (I was unconscious the whole time so don't actually know for how long she stayed tbh). She did also visit the next 3 days, helped me change, helped remove my garment so I can take a shower, and also helped me wash it. The 3 days after the surgery were terrible. I wasn't able to sleep at all, I was in PAIN all the time and the pain killers prescribed didn’t do anything really. It was really intense and bad. The worst part was getting in and out of bed, I think having a high bed would have helped or maybe something to lean to, it was hard to do it by my self.

I was much better on day 4, my recovery was pretty quick, and flew back home on the 5th day after seeing the doctor one more time (of course I flew business otherwise I don't think it's doable flying economy for 16 hour flight after the surgery).
The thing I’m not thrilled about is the result of the surgery. When the doctor saw me in person for a consultation he said I shouldn’t expect a big size because of my breast size, but that was only one day before the surgery (disadvantage of flying from overseas for the surgery) so it was kind of too late for me to change my mind, also I still wanted to take my chances.
The doctor was able to put around 400cc on the right side and 450cc on the left side. I think my breast size now has increased by about 10%

I still have marks showing in my body, some are barely noticeable and some are still visible. I haven’t done any treatment to reduce their appearances, If I do laser treatment I’m sure they will be better

3 months ago I noticed a hard lump on the left side of my upper left breast (still considered breast tissue area). “Within the area of clinical concern at 1:00 position 12 cm from the nipple lies a superficially located palpable oil cyst measuring 6 x 6 x 5 mm. It shows no vascularity on Doppler assessment. Hypoechoic scattered cysts noted within the heterogeneously dense breast tissue.”
This is copied from the report of the ultra sound test I made.

The lump is not noticeable at all when you look at this area of my body, but I was able to feel it that night while I passed my finger around it.

Overall, although still not happy with my breast size, not sure if I want to do this again, especially if the results will be (give or take), the same and not at least one bra size bigger. I don’t think it’s worth the cost of it and the effort, especially for international patients

If anyone wants to do this surgery I certainly recommend Dr Matt and elite clinic in Sacramento, as everything went ok, but just be cautious that the results might be disappointing. I know that’s not the doctor fault of course but also most of the reviews for here showed great results for the patients, (and for some reason I thought it will also work for me if it worked with everyone else), so just wanted to say that it’s not for everyone.
