How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Breast Explant + Fat Transfer

I've waited a year to write this review to ensure I'm reviewing final results without post-surgery emotions. I traveled to Dallas for Dr. Burns because of his photo gallery and knowledge of my desired procedure. Surgery was as expected. Immediate after care was a little interesting as when we did our one day check in I shared that I was in discomfort and my left hip flexor was so cramped that I couldn't walk and Dr. Burns suggested going out for dinner ( I could barely move around my airbnb). I feel that this is mostly normal and I trust my surgeon to recognize if there are abnormal responses. I never actually saw Dr. Burns after my procedure, but my follow up was done by the staff nurses. My actual disappointment and reason for the review is that you can see literally every spot of liposuction. The purpose of this procedure for me wasn't to get rid of fat, but to fill the breasts in post explant. That said, any fat extracted was a small amount from multiple areas. I can't speak to if the breast fat transfer was successful because I never saw my breasts post explant without the fat transfer. However, they're roughly the same as they were pre-implant. I contacted the office several times and asked for advice on what to do about the liposuction indents and pockets without any response or help. I thought this was disappointing because I wasn't asking for free revision but simply help as to what steps I could take (I have always heard to contact original surgeon before seeking new medical care). Either way, I'm now looking for a new doctor to address a fat deposit on my right thigh and a divot in the muscle of my left quad, both fairly obvious and a deterrent to wearing any shorts or dresses.
I don't love writing reviews especially anything negative, but the aftercare of Dr. Burns and his team is lacking at best and I would have appreciated knowing this before flying to his city and trusting him with my physical appearance.
