Breast Fat Transfer, 43, 120lbs, 2 kids

WORTH IT$9,200
I have read so much from this community and other people's stories and looked at their pictures so now its time to take my turn and give back. I hope this is helpful for other people considering this procedure.
I first heard about breast fat transfer about a year ago, and have been thinking about it since though only got serious in the last few months.
At the start of 2015 I lost about 20 lbs, going from 135 to 110 at my lowest. In the course of losing the weight I noticed the shape of my outer thighs barely changed...and I have hated them since I was 19. While the weight loss was generally for my overall health and well-being, I ended up chasing after my thighs and getting down to to 110 lbs which was totally unhealthy. I'm now somewhere between 119 and 122 depending on if I've been eating well in a given week or not and feel good...but still loathe my thighs. My breasts are very small as well and I've always wanted larger ones, but had sort of made my peace with them because implants have never felt like an option...no plastic (ok,ok silicone) inside me please.
A couple of years ago I heard about CoolSculpting and was intrigued because I felt unwilling to have actual surgery. I later heard about breast fat transfer but didn't really take the idea seriously because again, surgery. After doing a round of consultations about CoolSculpting I didn't feel that I'd be sure of getting the results I wanted. So I started thinking about Fat Transfer...but less from the boobs angle than from the lipo side and getting my thighs reduced, with a side benefit all that useful fat not going to waste and instead being used in my breasts.
Did lots of online research, and had 4 consultations then chose my doctor because he has all the board certifications, will do it without General (which freaks me out, having had it one time) and he has amazing online reviews here and elsewhere. And in the end he had the best bedside manner of anyone, really any doctor I've met. Took tons of time, answered all my questions, was realistic about what my options are and explained his background and experience to me in detail.
I go in on the 20th, so now is all about researching everything I should be doing to get ready. I'll be back to post "befores" and measurements in another post.

Your breasts are absolutely PERFECT!!!!! Great choice not opting for implants too- I wish I had known more about fat transfer 2 years ago- I totally ruined my breasts with a BA. But never were they ever as pretty as yours! Enjoy them! Even though you're not really large you can do sooooo much more and looks so much better in cloths. I try to hide my big ugly boobs constantly and can't even wear spaghetti straps lol.

Surgery shopping list - see update post at a month post op
Spamom1973February 7, 2017
I read lots of other lists and posts by people having lipo and/or fat transfer and came up with this list of stuff to have on hand before surgery day, to be prepared. I have questions out to my doctor on how necessary some of this stuff is really and will update when I hone it down a bit.
My shopping list:
Vasaline
probiotics
Arnicare gel cream
Bromelain
Bed liners/garbage bags
ice packs
Antibacterial soap
Arnica forte
stool softener
Protein shakes
Scar cream
Scaraway Silicon Scar Sheets
Spanx
Foam roller
Gauze Pads
First aid tapes
Bandaids
Pajamas with button front top
Button front shirt for day-of
Bras (soft, loose ones no underwire)
UPDATE BELOW:
What I needed and what I didn't.
I bought more stuff than I needed for my recovery, so here is my comments in hopes of helping others save some $$!
Vasaline YES, used this lightly on my incisions/scars for a few weeks after
probiotics YES to help with the pooping ;-)
Arnicare gel cream YES
Bromelain YES
Bed liners/garbage bags NO. Thought my incisions would ooze or weep lots more than they did. The initial bandaging with cut-up incontenence pads took care of the worst of it and than after that it was literally just bandaids.
ice packs NO. It turns out this was a mistake. You should not ice after lipo. Ask your doctor though to be sure.
Antibacterial soap NO
Arnica forte YES
stool softener OH MY GOD YES the drugs kept me corked up for days
Protein shakes YES because there were times I didn't feel like cooking or eating and these helped tide me over
Scar cream YES but not yet. Actually the incisions are so tiny at this point (One month post op) I can barely find them any more mostly. Though I'm kinda freckly and age-spotty by nature so that helps hide the scars, if you are a smooth-skined 22 year old your mileage may vary.
Scaraway Silicon Scar Sheets YES I can but starting in a couple weeks according to my Dr. I probably won't bother.
Spanx YES but I had to buy a few pairs until I found ones that I liked, once I was ready to be done with my compression garments. I think it was a mistake to buy any before hand, better to go out and get them after.
Foam roller NO, but I think I'm lucky and/or my DR is great because thus far I don't have anything that feels like lumps or hardness anywhere in my lipo areas.
Gauze Pads NO see above at the bedliners/garbage bags. Total waste of money.
First aid tapes NO Ditto
Bandaids YES YES YES used up a couple of boxes of them.
Pajamas with button front top YES
Button front shirt for day-of YES
Bras (soft, loose ones no underwire) YES

Thanks for the list. I'm due for my fat transfer in a week. What are the bandaids for? Why is it important to wear front buttoned clothes - is it because you will be too sore to raise our hands after the fat transfer? Any other tips for pre op would be most appreciated.
