3 weeks post op 415cc high profile inspiras. Submuscular. Inframammary fold.
Just want to give a quick update. Things seem to be healing fine. They look great other than some rippling on the bottom when I bend over and my left nipple still being buckled down/in. After my first augmentation when I had to have the implants removed the left breast (infected one) capsule contracted under my nipple and caused my nipple to buckle down/inward reallly bad!!! I hoped the new implants would fix it but so far it hasn’t helped much. I’m hoping that with time my nipple will look normal again because I hate looking at myself in the mirror naked because of it. It’s not the doctors or anyone’s fault but it still sucks. Otherwise my boobs look and feel great! I had some bad pinching/stinging pain in my incisions for a few weeks after surgery but it’s better now. Internal stitches for bottoming out seem to be holding up good. All in all I’m very happy and grateful! I will be posting pics of the whole process from my first ba until now as soon as I can get to some high speed WiFi. I live in the mountains and can’t get good internet here. I think my current bra size is now a 34d/dd to a 36d depending on manufacture. With my first ba I was a very full 36dd. I do miss the larger size but prefer my shape now 100000 times better!
Two breast augmentations and an implant removal later and I finally got my dream boobs!
Ill start by describing my body type a bit. I'm 5'7" 131lbs and completely flat chested! Shaped like a 2 by 4 (with a little tummy pudge lol) I have no butt either. I'm 28 yrs old and have had 3 kids and breastfed. I hoped to achieve d cups to double d cups. As soon as I had stopped breastfeeding for the appropriate amount of time I met with dr. Martin for my first ever breast augmentation consultation. I knew right away I wanted to proceed with him as my doctor. There's many reasons why I chose him as my doctor, he was very informative, kind, patient, he listened to my wants and explained why certain things would or would not work for me, he gave me realistic expectations, and his entire staff were all very nice. So I had my first breast augmentation done 4/5/19 and I got 495cc extra high profile silicone implants through areola incision. Dr. Martin did a beautiful job!!! I LOVED the size but the shape I was not too in love with. (That was not his fault at all) I believe that was due to the extra high profile. They made my breasts look too fake and beach ball shaped. But I was still happy. A month after my surgery I woke up to my left breast leaking a good bit of clear yellowish odorless fluid from a very small opening in the incisions. I called dr martins office right away and unfortunately he was out of the country at the time but his nurse was great. After sending photos and going back and forth about whether or not to come in to see the on call surgeon she decided I should come in. When I arrived I was still steadily leaking fluid but you could not see my implant from the tiny opening. The on call doctor (who doesn't work for or with my doctor) shoved a giant qtip through the opening and moved around in there a bit (I felt a popping sensation at one point) and then sat me up and sent me on my way saying my implant was not exposed and it should be fine just a small abscess. I was told to continue antibiotics, let it drain and keep it clean and return To see my doctor in a few days. He did not stitch up the opening or cover it with tape or anything! He said to just let it drain. When I got back out to my car to leave I looked at my breast with a mirror and could clearly now see the implant through the opening which was now much larger!!! (I personally believe he messed up and caused my implant to become exposed! I don't think I would have had to remove it if not for him and I've had other doctors and lawyers agree with me and say I should pursue a legal case. But I didn't want to cause doctor martin any issues because he's a good guy so I didn't pursue legal action) I went back two days later to see my doctor and he verified that my implant was indeed exposed and therefore must immediately be removed. I of course cried like a baby because my husband and I saved up our money for years to be able to get my implants. I was given the option of having just the one implant removed and keeping the other and then in three months time I could have my left implant replaced. I didn't want to have cyclops boob for 90 days so I chose to have both removed. Doctor Martin is such a good, kind man and he offered to perform my second augmentation for just the cost of the implants and the hospital/anesthesia fees! He actually did the second implant surgery for me with out him making a dime! I can't tell y'all enough how much I appreciate him! Anyways so after waiting 90 days I got my new implants on 8/14/19. He promised to try to keep the same size implants just instead of ultra high profile he would do high profile. But during surgery when he tried to fit the 485cc high profile implants in me they ripped something to do with my chest wall I think and that caused my breasts to bottom out upon being sat upright. So those just weren't going to work for me anymore. He managed to place 415cc high profile silicone implants in me and he repaired the tears in my chest wall to prevent the bottoming out. Oh and he went through the infra mammary fold this time since I had issues with the areola before. I got to admit I was super bummed when I found out he had to go so much smaller than my first implants. But it's now day 3 and I honestly couldn't be happier! They look amazing! Perfection! 100% better looking than the first implants I had. These look natural and fit my body better and don't look like beach balls or traffic cones lol. I love them! Dr. Martin is a perfectionist. A true artist. I would recommend him to anyone. He does the most beautiful breast augmentations I've ever seen and his skill with incisions/stitches is out of this world! Anyways that's my story guys! Hope this helps someone along their journey.
