Love the end result
It's been over a year since surgery. Definitely filling clothes and bathing suits better. My body feels properly proportioned and feminine again. Thank you Dr. Khanna and staff. Breast augmentation is quite a journey and this experience has been very positive for me.
Feeling Feminine and Sexy Again!
I recently had a breast augmentation using Sientra MP 435/485 cohesive gel with Galatea surgical mesh and a superior wedge on my left nipple. This process from start to finish has been very positive. I am an active 46 year old with 2 teenage kids. I felt like my breasts were deflated and in need of a little TLC. Dr. Khanna and all the staff at ICLS have been fabulous so far. I'm not sure if I've been a pest to them....but since I'm a newbie at this it's been nice to have their support for all my silly questions.
Overall, the surgery was not painful. No bleeding, no drains, no bruising. Initial healing was uncomfortable at times but I followed all instructions and feel that everything is settling nicely. I believe that since my left breast had extra work done, it has taken a little more time to start feeling better. I'm really happy I chose to go with the Galatea mesh as I believe it will benefit me down the road.
I am now 4 weeks post op. I love my size. I'm glad I trusted my ps and her advice on picking a size that would best suit my body. 435cc (left) and 485 (right). I still feel my left looks and feels a tad bigger but it is still slightly more swollen than it's sister.
At 4 weeks I'm feeling those zingers that everyone talks about. My right feels like it has been on my body all along. The left as mentioned earlier has been a little trickier but I'm staring to see it settle more and more everyday. My nipples are VERY sensitive and feeling the edges of the mesh has been a little strange. Zero regrets so far. I'm a pretty impatient...I cannot wait to hit the 3, 6 and 12 month milestones. I've been taking pictures every week to follow my own progress.
Scars seems to be coming along nicely. And the sutures around the left nipple are almost all dissolved. I use cytoderma on the scars along with alastin complex on my breast tissue daily.
The pricetag was hefty but definitely worth it for how it has made me feel!!
