Will Update As Recovery Continues

Had BA on Wednesday, felt confident because I’d done enough research and was mentally prepared. I was also confident in my doctor. Price was not all inclusive $5900 as stated and ended up being $6400 with the $500 deposit.
Procedure was quick and I was told no complications. However, as soon as I woke up, my pain began to increase to an excruciating 8/10, continuous sharp pains and chest pressure.
My whole life I’ve had high pain tolerance, both physically and mentally. Yet, this was one of the most difficult physical pain I’ve endured thus far. What worried me the most was from all the stories I’ve read, not one person apparently had such intense pain. Everyone seemed to say it was a day or two of minimal pain and they were back to work. Even Dr. Desai said it was a weekend recovery. So that’s what freaked me out into thinking there was something wrong.
The whole drive home it hurt so much I wanted to cry but couldn’t because that would hurt even more. I finally took the muscle relaxant and the pain finally subsided for about three hours. Then it was back with a vengeance at again a pain level of 7-9/10 for the rest of the night. Percocet doesn’t help one bit and now the muscle relaxant efficacy is beginning to fade.
Yesterday was post op day 1, pain remained at 8-9/10 all day and night, with not much help from the medications outside of causing me some drowsiness. I am on day 2 post op and the pain is at a 6-7/10, so yes I am seeing very minimal decreases in my pain level which is mentally helping me a lot. On the brighter side, I was never nauseous or vomited, which I can’t even imagine because even brightly gently hurts my chest.
Now on to what my breasts actually look like...horrible, as was mentioned by the research I’ve done, my doctor, and even the post op instructions. They’re incredibly asymmetrical, high rising, and yes I’m worried it’s bottomed out or placed too high. However, I know these symptoms are normal and I must give it at least a month to see most of the drop/fluff results before I can even worry about the possibility for revisions. But it’s hard to believe that when they look worse than other before and afters I’ve seen.
I’ve attached photos. Please comment if you had the same thing happen and it ended up looking amazing afterwards. Or vice versa. Anything would help. I will continue to post daily pictures to ease my mind by being able to see changes, no matter how minimal they may be.

Didn’t upload yesterday for some reason. I’m being patient for the results. Still hurts, by evening pain is sitting at 6/10 which is far better than an 8/10. I showered with the help of my boyfriend who did most of the work. Incision tape still in place, however the surgical bra is so tight it’s causing imprints all over that have now become super itchy. I also began to worry about incisional pain as the bra band is sitting right on top of the incision. So after the shower, I put on the bra over a thin long sleeve to help. I’ve also noticed mild bruising between my breasts and some near incision site. No bleeding. I decreased my Percocet dose to 1 pill even though it doesn’t seem to help (I don’t want to skip the dose on the off chance that I’ll feel even worse) and I finished the zofran already. I only have two more doses of perc left and then I will transition to Tylenol. Muscle relaxant still helping some. Will update later tonight with post of day 3 photos.

Yes, they will continue to drop. All of this is normal. You should begin to wean off of your Percocet and other medications. Time to get your body to adjust to your normal life.

Hi Dr. Desai! I stopped taking Percocet two days ago. But I’m still taking flexeril because if I don’t, the pain jumps up again. Hopefully these next few days it’ll subside. I’m glad you saw my pictures! Now I can rest more easily knowing nothings wrong with them.

Post op day 3
WinterbodyJanuary 10, 2021
Oh ok boy today has been a roller coaster. Morning started out okay so I laid off the musc relaxant and Tylenol but then pain increased to a tight chest pressure where I couldn’t breathe all too well. So I am back to taking them around the clock now. As far as pain level it’s steady at 5-6/10. Slept most of the day, have slightly more mobility in arms. Still can’t raise em high but can extend them to pull up my pants. I started to feel little depressed tonight regretting my vanity. But I just took pictures and they look sorta more symmetrical. Incisions still have tape and look fine. Bruising went down a little.

Don't fret!! We all have feeling of extreme vanity. Trust me , it's normal. You look marvelous. Everything you're experiencing is totally normal. You are still swollen, but you look very sexy... perfect size for your frame.

Wow thank you! I definitely do not agree I look good let alone sexy but you made me giggle and anything helps right now!

Awww I'm so happy that I made you giggle. And that in turn makes me smile!! :-). Big smiles!!
I just had a facelift and I can commiserate with your feelings. You be YOU!!! And YOU look fab!!!

Hang in there. That ugly feeling of regret might get worse before it gets better, but it does!!! And it will. I had a very hard time and had buyers remorse, and finally saw my dr again. He gave some meds to relax and I took only one time and sure enough, after a few days I was able to say best decision ever. Please hang in there, you're still healing and lire going to look fantastic!!!

Thank you so much!! All these words of positivity is doing a lot for my mental health. Who would've thought the online community would be so supportive!! Thank you!!

You'll be fine- looks like they are under the muscle so they will need to fluff and get more relaxed!!! You'll be happy in a few weeks

Omg hers looked similar to mine!! And they dropped amazingly! Thank you for this, I’ve been looking everywhere for immediate post op pics similar to mine and it’s been difficult to find! Either they look normal right away or they only post 3month post ops. Mine are still bit longer than hers but I think it’s because I went bigger than she did! Thank you so much!!! I feel so much better.

Hi Winter. How did your BA results end up not sure I saw anything? I am considering seeing your doctor.

Hey I’ve been updating everyday, the photos are on this thread. It’s only post op day 4 today and will be posting photos later tonight when bf gets home. I would definitely get lots of consults first before deciding.

As for the looks, absolutely do not think this is the end result! You're not even a week out yet so your muscles, tissues, and skin are all still adjusting to this sudden change. Give it at least 6 weeks before you start thinking it's the end "result." Hell, I've heard a lot of other surgeons say the inflammation isn't gone until 3 months and the girls aren't completely settled until 6 months. I looked at your surgeon as well and he seems to be knowledgeable--have trust in his abilities. Give it time and give your body time. She's working at full capacity to make sure you heal so be patient. Hope this helps and good luck :)
