Looking good!

Yay!! My incisions are nearly invisible, an just able healed. They do feel a bit thick to the touch, but they look great. My left side has already dropped... I do have a fair bit of sensitivity on my lateral break an nipple. My right is working its way into place. It’s. Bit higher, but I know it will settle in ??

Feeling great!

I’ve finally been able to get some good sleep. Last night was the first night I don’t have to take any pain med in the middle of the night. I did take a strong one right before I went to sleep, and it seemed to do the trick.

The tightness is way better. I’ve finally figured out the most comfortable/correct position for the band. It’s actually very comfortable now. The implants are starting to settle a bit, and aren’t so hard on my chest anymore.

Even though my pain has been minimal, my incision sites were the spot that was most tender. Those have definitely eased up. This morning I can say my pain is a 0!

Oh also they have been really dry, and of course I’m worried about them stretching so I have been applying vitamin E oil. Not massaging yet, just for dryness.

I am enjoying watching my results and progress daily. This has been a breeze for me as far as pain goes. My surgeon also has a protocol for specific meds and does intraop local anesthetic to help with post op pain. Trust me, this things are huge for your recovery after. My pain was never about a 2/10. Tightness was tough, (maybe 5/10 at worst) but using the muscle relaxers were key.

First night

Well, I’m not in extreme pain, I would say maybe a 2/10 but tightness is about 4-5/10 at times. I thought I was ready to eat a big dinner, but that ended up not working out. I got sick around 9pm but after I felt much better. Unfortunately I think my muscle relaxer probably went out with the food...so I set an alarm to get up and take my pain med at 12am, so I wouldn’t have too many meds in my system that make me drowsy.

I’ve slept well with the medications, but have been up and down peeing a lot because I’m hydrating like crazy. The surgical bra is pressing on my incisions, which is what is most painful so far. I’ve used ice packs to help with swelling. Just a little bruising so far.

My surgeon called to check on me and he said he would again in the morning. I’m very fortunate to have such great providers!

Will add some pics in a day or two when things settle a bit :)

Overall rating

Dr. Carlino and staff, from the girls at the front desk, to finance and scheduling, anesthesia providers, nurses... well basically everyone made my surgery a huge success. I didn’t feel nervous in the least bit. Everyone was kind and reassuring and whoever I came into contact with took their time explaining my procedure and what to expect. Dr. Carlino is very talented and I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of having surgery. He genuinely cares about his patients and is highly trustworthy to do what is best for the patient while also getting the best results. He explained everything in a way that helped me work with him to get the results I wanted. I just cannot give him enough compliments. Absolutely A+++! The staff was wonderful throughout the entire preop/postop period. From helping me pick implant sizes to answering questions, again, I cannot say enough great things about this amazing team/plastic surgery practice!
