Pictures from Nov 27th

Pictures from November 27th, 12 weeks post op. I added a video to show how soft they have become since the beginning of the month. A noticeable difference in softness. But I think there's also a noticeable difference with the symmetry of my breasts.

12 weeks!

So sorry for a delayed update! School has sucked the life out of me. I am now 12 weeks post op... holy smokes, feels like I did this forever ago and that they're still so new at the same time.

At 9 weeks, I had my second post-op appointment with Dr. Ehret and all is well. I can still feel the bumps from the dissolvable sutures, and though they don't hurt anymore, Dr. Ehret said they can actually take up to a year to fully dissolve AND they could potentially try to poke through again... lovely.

I can easily sleep on my side and stomach, I can wear whatever bra I want (or NOT wear a bra, woo hoo!), my boobs are now squishy enough to smoosh together, a little bouncy, they're not rock hard anymore, haha! I still have about the same amount of numbness, still can't feel about 3/4 of my right breast, and maybe 1/8th of my left breast is still numb. Dr. Ehret said he's never seen a patient of his not get feeling back, and I know nerves are SO so slow to heal.

The only times I am uncomfortable are if my boyfriend squeezes while also lifting my breasts up a little.. pulls on the scar a bit. Needless to say, he loves them and I have to remind him to chill a bit sometimes, haha. I'm not using any scar creams, btw, just moisturizing and letting my body do its thang.

I never really massaged my breasts during my initial healing. I read a thorough study on breast massage after an augmentation, and it said there was no difference in the long-run in breasts that were or weren't massaged. I brought it up with Dr. Ehret and he said he had also read similar studies and that I could do the massage if I wanted to, but it won't make a difference in the long run. So I chose not to, and also because I could never remember to do it.

One of the strangest feelings... feeling the implant under my skin and moving it around over my ribs, AND I can feel my breast tissue and fat sitting over the implant! They also glow... I took my phone's flashlight to them while in my dark room and I could see the whole implant light up AND could see my breast tissue and veins...!!

Okay, now my one complaint.... my left nipple is crooked. And it wasn't crooked before. Or, more accurately, I think the implant isn't in the same spot as the right one. I am trying to be chill about it because I know after a year, they will be in their final resting spot and I am HOPING it just needs to drop more?! Who knows.. but you can tell from my pictures, it's noticeable. I also brought it up to Dr. Ehret and he said that it could be anatomical (which it isn't because I was symmetrical prior, and my other pictures aren't crooked either), and that it may even itself out. Really hoping it does, I notice it every single time I get naked.

Oh geez and one last thing I have forgotten to write about in my reviews.. I think because I had to wear a sports bra basically 24/7 for 9 straight weeks, AND my skin was stretching and got oily and I had to moisturize... I started getting acne on my chest! It's not as bad anymore, but just another thing I experienced and am still experiencing. Love acne on my new boobs.

Okay, I am adding pictures from today and a video to show how squishy they are! Also going to try to find a video I took at the beginning of November.. my boobs were not nearly as soft as they are now, you will be able to see a huge difference!

Dissolvable sutures?!

Was finally able to get a picture that shows the bumps under my skin. It’s grossing me out and it is so painful! If I stretch or bend over or roll on my side, it’s a very sharp pain. I’ve read that it can take months to dissolve, but am reallllly hoping this doesn’t last long. I have my next follow up in the next few weeks and will bring it up to my surgeon then.
