WORTH IT
Day before surgery:
Dr. Kilaru prescribed me Lorazampam to take the night before surgery so that I could sleep through my anxiety. I honestly wasn't afraid at all and was just super excited to go through with the process!
Day of surgery:
Woke up at 5:30 am for a 6:00 am surgical check in time. Process was very smooth, where we completed paperwork and they took a urine sample. Within 20 minutes I was taken to the back and asked to change into my surgical garments. The nurse took my blood pressure, started the IV and put the blood pressure monitors on my arms and calves. The anesthesiologist Dr. Wong, came around to say hello, cracked a few jokes and let me know that I had nothing to be worried about. Shortly after Dr. Kilaru came in to mark me up for the operating room. Next thing I know I'm being wheeled into the operating room. I didn't even know when the medication was going into the iv, last I remembered was asking the team how I'd know if I'm getting sleepy and I was out!
I woke up approximately 2 hours later in the recovery room by the nurse who offered me water and apple juice. I was completely coherent and hopped out of bed to go home.
I've been home now for the last 4 hours and it's been very smooth sailing. No pain, no discomfort and I haven't needed any assistance from the boyfriend. If I was eating my entire surgery day experience it would be a solid 10!

Post-op day 3

3 days PO and still feeling absolutely amazing! Also had my post-op appointment with Dr. Kilaru today and he was ecstatic with how well everything has been healing.
For some added context, I have minimal swelling on the top part of my breasts which the doctor mentioned is due to the fact I don’t have large pectoral muscles. Additionally, I also have full sensation and feeling in both nipples and the implants have already started to settle into the pockets.
I feel truly blessed that my experience was virtually painless, with no discomfort or swelling as I understand this is not typical for most women that go under the muscle.
