Saline to Silicone After 13 Yrs

I had my first BA one week after I turned 18. I was wild and stubborn and very upset puberty never gave me breast! Honestly I don’t remember much about the healing process expect it was painful! 13 yrs ago silicone wasn’t even an option so I got saline 280cc and 320cc in the other. I was happy with them until about 10 yrs out and three kids later. They felt fake and had rippling but it wasn’t awful! After another 3/4 years I decided it was time. They weren’t going to last much longer (in my opinion) and I wanted an upgrade.
So 13 days ago I got one! I went to four surgeons and finally decided on one. We went about 70cc bigger. I didn’t want huge breast but knew switching from saline to silicone they may seem smaller if it was an even switch.
I hate them! One looks great for being 2 week out but the other is hard and misshaped! I saw surgeon two days ago and she was very brief and said give it another week. I’m terrified I have capsular contraction. I don’t want to just wait and wait only to have to have them redone again! The pictures don’t really do them justice because they look ok but my left one feels like a hard rock:(.
Also I asked PACU nurse and surgery only took 25 min from start to finish. Doesn’t that seem fast?

My surgery took 2 1/2 hours. Replaced saline with saline and removed the capsules. No complications.

How long did it take for your breast to feel “normal”? I asked to be seen again and am going on Monday to discuss with her my concerns.

I meant silicone with silicone...I had the implants that were recalled, so I opted to have them replaced.

I had saline HP implants for almost 14 yrs and was ready for an upgrade. I assumed mine wouldn’t last much longer and wanted to take care of it before I HAD to. I wasn’t unhappy with my current breast but wanted silicone this time around. I assumed switching to silicone would give me a more natural look and feel. My consult appointment was fairly quick and when I left I realized we hadn’t talked about types of implants. I called and she said we were just switching out to the same type of implant just silicone. I made the mistake of assuming this would mean it’s be more natural and I’d be happy with the results. This may have been my mistake, I should have looked into more types of implants and considered my options. Looking back I should have picked a completely different implant as I feel my breast don’t look any better than they did before.
Also, I was told by multiple surgeons that my breast would have minimal swelling because I wasn’t going that much bigger.
Well I’m past eight weeks PO and my right breast is still much higher and firm. I know this could just be a time issue and am giving it time.
Nothing at this time is the surgeons fault. I can only blame myself for not researching types of implants more and am giving my right breast time. I just personally feel that the surgery was not worth it and would have just kept my saline implants OR picked different implants assuming my right breast does come around.

Probably just teardrop ones or low profile. These ones look very fake on my small frame.

Would NOT recommend

Three months post op and followed up with Dr Vasko. She agreed that my right one was not healing and said she would fix it....for $4,500. As a plastic surgeon I would think she would have pride in her work and want to fix something that was not right. I was wrong. She did pay a whole $100 for me to get a second opinion. Wow. After almost spending $7,000 and walking around with one misshaped hard boob she offered me that. I would NOT go to her. Her office staff is great and if you are considering CAPS I would say just look for someone else.

I did get a second opinion and he believes it was her carelessness. He thinks the pocket wasn’t made large enough and therefore caused the implant to be misshaped. He is agreeing to charge me less than half to fix it. I really wanted to go to a strong reputable female surgeon but she is not that.
