Quick day-by-day review

WORTH IT$7,400
Quick day by day review

So I wanted to start of by apologizing for all the typos. My first two reviews were from day 1 and I was heavily medicated (I don’t normally take medication). Also I am still learning how to use this app and the dates of my reviews have been off so I will do a quick day-by-day review in hopes of helping others.

Day 1:
Pain level was the highest and I needed the most support. As in my first review I was taking the highest dosage of hydrocodone, and diazepam to control the pain. I even called to take an extra Tylenol because the pain was high. I was propped up to approximately a 45 degree angle and needed help getting up which was extremely painful. I couldn’t eat much mostly pretzels, saltines, and apples then three forkfuls of spaghetti. I also needed help in the bathroom because my breast were heavy when pulling up my bottoms. I also woke up during the night for more pain meds.

Day2:
Pain was more manageable but I still needed hydrocodone but took less diazepam because it’s also a sedative. This day I was more awake and continuously took pain meds but felt fine. Around 3 I started getting up by myself from the propped up position and pulling up my own bottoms in the bathroom. I also had my first full meal that day and after I ate I realized that I had been very hungry. Sleeping propped up had been uncomfortable for me by this point and I used a heating pad to feel better. I’m not sure what woke me back or breast pain but I kept taking both meds throughout the night.

Day 3:
I was up and about more this day and had a breakfast burrito. I took one hydrocodone and one extra strength Tylenol this day for pain throughout the day. Pain was very manageable and the need for meds was reduced. One issue I had was not eating after the breakfast burrito and felt nauseous. After eating a meal and having ginger ale I felt much better. I spent most of the day sitting or laying in the living room with friends and family checking in on me. It was the day I spent the longest sitting up which resulted in pretty bad pain that night in my left breast so I had to take a diazepam that night even though I hadn’t wanted to.

Day 4:
This day pain was very minimal and I wanted to go out but decided to take it easy. Back pain has been annoying because of being propped up on the pillows and I normally like to sleep on my tummy. For this day I only had one hydrocodone at noon then just extra strength Tylenol all day to manage pain. I ate much better and did my best to relax to let my body heal. That night was hard because I refused to take more diazepam and my back has been killing me.

Day 5:
Today! I am only taking 2 extra strength Tylenol every 5 hours. I am feeling pretty great and am eating well. I also had my post op today. Doc said everything looks fine and that I can shower!!! I’m so excited to take a shower and he said I can change my bra. I bought a very comfy zip up bra on Amazon and will be wearing that moving forward. The bra provided by the doc made my back very itchy the past few days and I’m over it. The doctor also said I can lay flat on my back but I’m kind of scared to so I think I will wait.

I hope this is helpful. Also, TMI but a stool softener is necessary during this process because of the heavy meds. It says take two at night but I only take one and I pooped before my surgery and again on Saturday.

All done :)

Surgery was completed today 07/08 by 1045! I wanted to give an overview of how things went today. I arrived at the surgery center at 7:30. I was then asked to complete paperwork regarding covid. After that I was taken to the bathroom to undress and put on a gown with an open front with medical socks. I was also told to leave a urine sample to test for pregnancy ( not pregnant ).
After that I was taken into a large private sure private surgery room where I sat on the bed and was immediately given a blanket. The nurse then began to ask medical history question and what my goals were for today (350 - 375 cc with a natural look).
After that, the real prepping began! I was payed down and two nurses the nurses helped my put on calf massagers to help with blood flow. Stickers under my shoulder blades(I'm not sure why). Then The iv was placed in my arm from which they gave me my fluids, pain meds and the twilight. The twilight was effective and I began to feel groggy.
The doctor then came in and began to apply local anesthesia on the sides of my breasts. After that it became really groggy and fell asleep.I woke up in a little pain and the nurses notified me surgery was successful and complete. They began helping me get dressed and I started to feel more pain. The nurse then provided me percocet.
Once I was done getting ready I was placed in a wheel chair and put in my sisters car to go home. The drive was uneventful because I fell asleep the whole way home. When I got home I went straight to bed and was given water, pretzels, and Jamba Juice. When my drugs arrive I needed them immediately because of the pain. The prescriptions provided to me were diazepam for swelling and relaxation, hydrocodone for pain, and amoxicillin to prevent infection.
Overall the pain is uncomfortable but manageable. I was given silicone implants that are 375ccs on both breasts. So far I love the size and am excited about my post op :) I hope you all find this helpful. I do my best to continue sharing my journey with Dr. Yamahata. Thank you so much to all the staff, nurses, and Dr. Yamahata for making this process as comfortable and safe for meas possible. I can't wait to see the results!

Waiting for surgery

Hello all! I have been meaning to post here regarding my BA surgery and waited until the last minute lol. I am currently waiting to be taken into the surgery room and feel a variety of emotions as I wait. Fortunately, I have an experienced surgeon who has made me feel confident every step of the way! I had two other consultations but Dr Yamahata was clearly the best choice. His level of expertise is evident when looking through his reviews here and upon meeting him. Further, all staff has been incredibly kind and helpful! I will update how I feel as soon as I can and will post pictures to show progress.

Hi I just had a consult today with dr. Yamahata, and not sure what type of anesthesia I’d go with. Would you do the twilight again if you were to do it all over again? Would you recommend it?
Much appreciated
