SO Happy with my Decision, my Surgeon, and my Experience. No Regrets.
Sharing my experience and feedback after my breast augmentation surgery with Dr Dona.
Overall, SO happy with my decision, my surgeon, and my experience. No regrets.
Dr Dona is very "to the point" in his style of consulting, but I liked that, and it suits how I approach things too. I had done all my pre-research, reviewed the materials they had suggested before my consult and my surgery, so went into my consult informed and only had 1 question at the end. I found it to be a quick and efficient meeting. This style might not work for everyone, if you like a lot of hand holding etc. He had given me two options that suited my preference of shape/size and then we decided on the one I have, it was the bigger of the two. At first, I was worried it would be too big, but in all honesty like everyone says once they are in and settled, you think you could have gone bigger. I am super happy with size and shape recommendation from Dr Dona, it looks natural, and they are now softer and have dropped since surgery as indicated (9 weeks currently).
Surgery was quick and seamless - I actually can't believe I was in out and home within 3-4 hours.
Recovery wasn't too bad. I prepared myself for worse so was surprised I could move around well from day 1. took 2 days off work and then was working from home (desk job) for the remainder of the week so totally fine. Slept elevated on pillows for a week as I did feel pressure when lying flat. TAKE THE DRUGS. If they give you pain relief don't try and push through in pain, take them, it helped with my inflammation and pain management. By 7 days post op I was feeling much better, still bruised, and tender but not inhibiting life (consdiering I have a toddler who loves cuddles). By 4 weeks I was feeling back to 100% normal and recommenced low-grade exercise.
Dr Dona's office has regular post op apps so I was seen 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, 5 weeks and 6 weeks post opp. May seem like overkill, but it was very reassuring.
Overall, highly recommended for breast augmentation.
