You Be the Judge

I am a previous patient of Dr. Maggi's and, had great results. I found a coupon from Dr. Maggi's Office that appeared on Facebook (See Coupon Below). I made an appointment for an Abdominoplasty and, Mastopexy with coupon in hand. I've been a Nurse for 30 years and, realized what it would take out of me to have these procedures done. I met with Tauna and, spoke to her about wanting to have an Abdominoplasty and, Mastopexy showing her the Coupon on my phone from Facebook for 30% off of surgeries. She said that someone hacked Dr. Maggi's Facebook account. Dr. Maggi came into the consultation realizing I was a previous patient we chit chatted. I made him aware of the coupon he placed on Facebook for 30% off surgeries "he said he was hacked but, he would take care of me." Per search the coupon was entered on Facebook 3 times without it being retracted by Dr. Maggi's office. At the time the coupon was placed on Facebook Dr. Maggi Office was extremely booked up with upcoming surgeries. We talked in great deal about the Mastopexy and, a Care Plan was created with my approval. I was asked by Lisa to go on the Real Self site and, provide pictures of what I wanted my breast to look like. I did so and, they were shown to Dr. Maggi the photos stating, " Ok I know what you want" and the surgery was a go with a date of 8/3/23. My preop-appointment was set 1 week prior to surgery with Dr. Maggi. I reviewed my Care Plan again to make sure he understood exactly what I wanted. Dr. Maggi than stated " I can't give you the half-moon shape that you're looking for without doing an Augmentation" he then quoted me $5,400.00 for implants. I agreed. Dr. Maggi advised to go with at least 500cc implants because I have a large frame if I went below 500cc the implants would be hid by my breast tissue. Lisa LVN who was just fantastic at her job helped me with my decision of going with 695cc which was appropriate for the size of my body frame and, was approved by Dr. Maggi. On August 3rd I was prepared for surgery by Kelly RN. An IV site was started and, fluids hung to KVO. Dr. Maggi entered the pre-op area and, marked my breast for his guidance to perform the Augmentation, Mastopexy and, NIB. He then preceded to tell me that "I wanted a tux for the price of a suit" in other words I wasn't paying him enough today's surgery. Dr. Maggi has a very loud voice and, the intensity of his voice increases as his frustration level raises. I was so humiliated as he said this in front of everyone in the pre-op area. To add insult to injury he then told me he was only going to do the Augmentation and, I would have to pay an additional amount of $2,700.00 for a revision to have the Mastopexy and, NIB performed. I was afraid if I walked away from the Augmentation, he would not give me a full refund for the surgeries paid in full. Why did I have to pay for a revision when the 1st surgery was not performed. I did not change the Plan of Care he did without my prior approval. A binding contract was signed with Dr. Maggi to pay $17,900.00 for an Augmentation, Mastopexy, NIB months in advance of 8/3/23. I also, paid for my Abdominoplasty around the same time I paid for my breast surgery so that I would be entitled to use the 30% of coupon he placed on Facebook (see coupon below, I have the other 2 coupons on my phone as I said no retractions was made by Dr. Maggi's Office). The Augmentation was done 8/3/23 and, the NIB and, Mastopexy was done on 9/26/23. Look at the pictures below I look the same as I did before the before the surgery! I am tormented over the results. There are 695cc implants in my breast but, where? My breast looks no different. They're hideous! You tell me what you think please? I made Tauna aware of my unhappiness about 60 days after the 2nd surgery and, continued to tell her to document my complaints. I had many many post op appointments because my right breast incision was healing like the left. Kelly RN came into one of them I told her I was so unhappy and, showed her the results she just looked at me speechless and, Kelly is never speechless! The look in her eyes said it all. She asked me if I told Dr. Maggi and, I said yes. Kelly said " just tell him you want your breast to look like Kelly's". Kelly RN looked into my chart for the pictures I submitted to Dr. Maggi showing him what I wanted to look like after surgery however, they were missing from my chart. I followed all of Dr. Maggi's post-op ordered. Went to all my post-op appointments however, Dr. Maggi's was absent from 3 of my appointments. Tauna had to call his cell phone then she sent photos of my breast for 2 appointments the third appointment was missed because of his Dental appointment. My sutures were taken out by Tauna however; 2 extra trips were made to the office because there were stitches that were missed which had caused the skin to fester. I called and, told Tauna again how dissatisfied I was and, she said " Oh don't tell Dr. Maggi that". Here is a nurse telling another nurse not to tell the Dr. how I feel. I am the patient! I have patient rights. Each time I spoke to Tauna about my dissatisfaction I asked her to make sure she was documenting the dates we spoke which spanned from 60 days post-op NIB & Mastopexy till I booked my revision appointment 6/19/24. I saw Dr. Maggi for a breast revision on 6/19/24. In this appointment Dr. Maggi brought his receptionist into my consultation to take pictures not a nurse. I started to voice my concerns that my breast looks no different than they did pre-surgery. There is no half-moon. One nipple is higher than the other. He was very displeased as his voice got louder and, more perturbed I had to ask him to lower his voice he said he wasn't yelling it was the size of the room we were in. He promptly proceeded to make me aware of his Credentialing and, the number of years he's been a Plastic Surgeon and, that no other Plastic Surgeon could do what he does. Dr. Maggi again began complaining about money again as though I had no money. Now he wants $9,000.00 when he only charged me $2,700.00 for the 1st revision when he refused to do the Augmentation, Mastopexy and, NIB together on 8/3/23. Both revisions were quoted to be 5-hour procedures. Again, being besides myself, I dressed and, started to leave the consultation as I did so Dr. Maggi asked me "how much do I want to pay and, when do I want to schedule the revision". Now keep in mind I walked into Dr. Maggi's office with a 30% off Coupon that he listed on Facebook (see below). He did not honor the coupon that he placed on Facebook!
