100% recommend Mr Bramhall. Breast augmentation review - cup size increase from D to F!
WORTH IT$8,842
My initial consultation with Mr Bramhall went really well. He took the time to explain all the issues. Some of the things discussed were the different types and shapes of implants, whether the implants should go under or over the muscle, and the risks and possible complications of surgery. This was followed up by a letter he sent detailing all we’d discussed at the consultation, which served as an excellent reminder throughout the “journey”.
I opted for 400cc round, textured implant to be placed underneath the muscle.
As I am in my mid forties, I had to go for a mammogram at Ross Hall hospital which incurred an extra fee of about £200 ($260).
On the day of surgery, I arrived the hospital at 6.30 am and was shown to the ward and my room. Mr Bramhall came up to the ward, took some final measurements, and we went over the consent form thoroughly before I signed it.
The last thing I remember before surgery was the anaesthetist inserting a cannula to the back of my hand, and the next thing I remember was being in the recovery room and Mr Bramhall saying the surgery went well, before I was wheeled back up to the ward. I am told Mr Bramhall did come up to see me, but I was fast asleep. I went home at 6pm that day after I’d had something to eat and drink.
Recovery took a few weeks. Everything felt tight, numb and sore, all at the same time. There was quite a lot of swelling, and I couldn’t bear having the compression bra off for more than just a few minutes. I took a lot of ibuprofen and paracetamol in the first few weeks. The only exercise I could do was walking, and there was no stretching, reaching or lifting of anything heavy. I went back to work two weeks after surgery.
During these first few weeks I had been wearing the Signature compression bra from Macom. The cups expand and mould to the new cup size, so I had no idea what my new cup size actually was. So you can imagine how chuffed I was when I bought my first bra a few weeks ago and discovered I had gone up three cup sizes – from a 34D to a 34F! The scars are very small and neat and so smooth that I can’t feel them. My clothes fit much better and everything looks “just as it should be”.
The whole experience has been a positive one from start to finish. Everyone, from Mr Bramhall, the nurses and assistants at the pre-op clinic, the ward and treatment room, the porter to the anaesthetist, have been very caring and helped to put me at my ease. I was anxious about getting a general anaesthetic, but I needn’t have worried.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Avril Blackwood, who organises Mr Bramhall’s appointments and bookings. She’s so efficient and very prompt to reply emails and texts. No question is too silly for her. She is indeed a great asset to Mr Bramhall.
I was asked by nurses on the ward and treatment room several times whether I had “researched Mr Bramhall”. It was obvious to them that I had made an excellent choice with Mr Bramhall and they waxed lyrical about his skill, care and professionalism. Would I recommend Mr Bramhall? One hundred percent!

100% recommend Mr Bramhall. Cup size increase from a D to an F.
I just wanted to add some before and after photos. Also just to say if there was one thing I wish I'd done differently, I would have taken an extra week off work. I was also unprepared for the nausea I had after the general anaesthetic. I should have asked the nurses for antiemetics much sooner. Hope this helps
