7 months post op; LOVING my shape

Wow, 7 months passed already! To be honest I have struggled to find swim suits that fit only because I’ve had 36 years of fitting very tiny boobs into suits, ha! My husband would love to see me in skimpy bikinis but having 4 kids ages 5-13 I’m always at a public pool and feel the need to cover my new assets. Maybe some of the moms out there will understand...??

I am really enjoying having a womanly shape again in clothes and being able to dress in even a simple t-shirt is a little easier to do now. I don’t worry as much about what others think as I did in the beginning. They are just a part of me now and I rarely think about them at all. I’m so thankful my amazing surgeon was able to keep me looking nice and modest while giving me the confidence I was looking for. If you are in the research phase of this journey please make sure you are comfortable with your surgeon and his staff, it makes all the difference!!

6 weeks post op

I’m so excited to be at this 6 week post op point! My recovery has gone really well! My scars have been healing and smoothing out. I am massaging them with bio oil and also using the bio oil as I do my daily massages that my surgeon recommends. He told me to massage daily to help the capsule heal properly with the implants. My surgeon was very pleased with the amount of dropping my implants had done up to this 6 week mark. He recommended that I continue to wear an underwire bra during the day everyday to support the weight of the implant (425cc) and continue wearing a sports bra to bed at night. I am measuring a 32 DD in most bras, 32 DDD in others. It is so crazy to me to measure those sizes!! I am really enjoying having shape in my clothes!! I am still not supposed to do any chest work in the gym, so I can’t take a lot of the workout classes that I love. But I’m now allowed to do anything else, so I’ve been doing treadmill work, steps and lower body. I’m really looking forward to getting back to my weight training classes, that’s what I really love. But I knew this going into the surgery and it will be worth the wait to have my pec muscles heal completely.

4 weeks post op!!

I am officially 4 weeks post op this morning! Can’t believe it. As much as I’m still getting used to having this new chest, they really feel apart of me already! It’s amazing how soft they have gotten even in the last 10 days.
I had my 3 week post op appointment last week and my doctor told me to go get some underwire, supportive bras but with no push-up or padding for during the day. He said to continue wearing sports bras at night. I don’t have anymore restrictions when it comes to sleeping sitting up, just to not sleep on my stomach. I can lift between 15-20 pounds (but I will admit that I am sometimes carrying my 36 pound 4-year old occasionally...). I feel really good. He also gave me the clear for going back to the gym, just no running or bouncing and no torso or arm work beyond some light bicep work. I went back to the gym the other day for the first time since surgery and it was amazing. I get a lot of self therapy time there, it’s where I “found” myself again as a busy mom of 4 young kids several years ago. So I’m super thankful to get to be back.
Sorry for the long post!! Overall I’m very very happy I went ahead with the breast augmentation. I feel much more feminine.
