6 week follow up!

I just had my 6 week follow up appointment and am feeling great. My right boob is pretty well settled while my left will require some more downward pushing :) you can see the difference in how high my left boob is sitting compared to the other but I’m sure they will even out nicely! My PS commented that they look very natural and gave me the OK to start running again as long as I make sure the girls are tightly secured to my chest. The emotional ups and downs are turning into just ups and I couldn’t be happier.

It's Been a Long Time Coming! (Slight Tuberous Deformity, 23y, 5'7", 135lbs)

Let me begin by saying that I have known I wanted my boobs done since I was about 16 (I'm 23 now) and realizing that mine didn't look quite as nice as everybody else's. I kept waiting for them to round out and become less pointy, but unfortunately it never happened, and I was left feeling extremely self-conscious about them 24/7. I dreaded even showing them to my college boyfriend, let alone the few people who have seen me naked since then. I looked into getting a breast lift 2 years ago but decided it was too expensive, would diminish my chances of breast-feeding too much, and that I wasn't ready at the time. This summer, I finally decided to take the plunge so I did extensive research in my area (north central Florida) and found Dr. Tyrone in Gainesville. I decided I liked his before and after pictures best and went in for a consultation within the week. He confirmed that my breast were slightly tuberous and that I was right on the cusp of needing a lift, however he agreed that I should wait until after having kids to do so. He is extremely blunt and made sure not to get my hopes too high, reminding me that implants wouldn't completely correct my insecurities and low nipple position. I began with Bs and wanted Ds, but he said the highest I should go is a C so as not to test my luck and stay on the safe side. I booked my surgery that day for a month later but was feeling terrified about not liking my outcome already. I continued to look at before and after pictures (like those on this website) and reassured myself that this was the right choice.

Surgery day: lots of excitement and nerves, but everyone on staff at Tyrone's office is so wonderful and kind. Dr. Tyrone marked me up and reminded me that he was not going to go too big so as not to send my boobs further down, and I agreed. I woke up later on as if I had taken a nap and felt quite drunk while the nurse was helping me get dressed. They used propofol which is a great sedation drug. I found out I received 360 (L) and 375 (R) ccs silicone natrelle implants. My mom drove me home and helped me into bed where I spent a majority of the next 4 days. I was wearing the surgical bra and an ace bandage on the top and bottom of my breasts. The next day, I could take off the ace bandage and do an inspection to ensure everything was as it should be. The staff called to check on me and answered all my paranoid questions. The recovery was pretty smooth overall. My feelings and emotions have been ALL over the place since the procedure but overall I am extremely happy. I am currently almost 5 weeks post-op and still waiting for some dropping and fluffing (I hope). I am massaging twice per day to encourage the lower pole to stretch and fill out, along with pushing them together and up. They look sooo fabulous (and quite natural I think) in clothes. I've been out with friends a few times and have gotten so many compliments. I know that they are not fully healed but the side views of my breasts are still strange to me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that time and gravity will continue to ultimately give me the results I was looking for!
