I’ve wanted a breast augmentation for a long time. I was finally able to go through with it.
I had my consult with Dr. Rockmore back in August after extensive research. I did have to wait close to an hour past my appointment time, but he was very apologetic about it. After discussing everything with him and trying on sizers I went home and made my decision that he was going to be my surgeon. It was clear to me that he was experienced, and wanted to do the best work possible.
Surgery day was pretty easy. I did have to wait a little bit to get into the operating room, but everything went smoothly. This was my first time having surgery and anesthesia so I was a little nervous about that. I saw Dr. Rockmore prior to surgery and we discussed everything. He made me feel comfortable and ready for surgery. I woke up feeling pretty good. By the time I got home (2 hour drive) I was ready for some more pain meds and rest.
I am 7 days post op and am very happy so far. The only thing I will say is this is not the surgery to get if you have toddlers (I have a 2 year old and a 3 year old).
Pain has subsided significantly since the beginning. I think that days 2&3 were the worst for me. I have some bruising (normal) but didn’t have any bleeding from the incisions.
Sleeping hasn’t been the best. It is getting better each day, but I am finding it hard to get comfortable. I am formerly a stomach sleeper so this has been a huge adjustment.
I had my post-op appointment virtually today (I’m two hours away from the practice) with Kristen. It went great. She was super knowledgeable and so nice.
I will update when I am able to!

7 days post-op. They are definitely starting to drop! Really excited to see how they turn out. I have a feeling my left will take a little bit longer than the right. I was advised to wait 3 months before I start to panick about appearances.

They look great! But I have to ask.. are your nipples in the shape of a heart or are they tattooed??

Haha I was waiting for this question. They are heart tattoos. A decision I made when I was young and silly lol

Hey we all do weird things when we're young, but I was like no way are they actually shaped that way naturally! Your breasts look great thought!

They look so good already at only being 1 week po. Looking forward to seeing more progress photos. I'm 6 weeks po and still struggling with getting completely comfortable at night. It's definitely better, but not 100%. I'm typically a side sleeper.

1 month and a day out

I am one month and a day out from my surgery. Overall, I am beyond happy. There are a few little things that bother me, but I knew they wouldn’t be perfect as my boobs before weren’t perfect. I can tell they are still changing. Dropping more. My steri-strips are also still on. I asked someone about this and they said leave them on until they fall off because it helps with the scar. Anybody else have theirs on for awhile?!
