It's Never Too Late!

I considered breast augmentation for years but for various reasons it never seemed like the right time. However, after having 3 kids and then being a front line worker during Covid, I decided I wanted to do this for myself. I was REALLY tiny...AA cup. After consulting with Dr. Claytor I decided to go with the Ideal saline implant. I got the 210 which was then filled to 235 cc. My feelings have run the gamut since my surgery, but overall I'm pleased with my results. I think when you go from having absolutely nothing to something (I ended up a 32c) it's an adjustment to say the least, particularly since I'm a bit older (I'm 44).

I also had the complication of a ruptured left implant 5 months after my surgery (fairly rare but of course it can happen). I have to say Dr Claytor and his staff were amazing throughout the whole process, both before and after my initial surgery and then in handling the rupture. I had it replaced in the office with local anesthetics and oral pain meds and it went fine. I was nervous, because the pain after my initial surgery was significant and lasted longer than I anticipated. I'm hoping it's smooth sailing from here on out and I can enjoy having a rack for the 1st time in my life! :-)

I really like the way I look in clothes and from straight on. My implants do still appear quite high and rounded from the side which I don't love, but I figure that's not what I'm seeing most of the time, so I'm making my peace with it. I hope they continue to soften a bit, though this many months out I don't expect any significant change. The most important thing to me is that they seem proportionate for my figure (I'm 5'1" and 108 lbs). The consensus of the people I've told is that they wouldn't know I'd gotten a boob job if I hadn't told them ( like a lot of flat chested girls I always wore padded push up bras so it's not super noticeable).

This was very important to me; I never wanted BIG boobs, just enough to make me feel feminine and hold up a bathing suit. I know there's lots of debate about the sizing of implants. I found it really comforting that Dr Claytor and his staff recommended 2 possible sizes based on my measurements, and I'm VERY glad I went with the smaller option - but that's me. It really depends on your goals. If you're a "more is more" kinda person, and you can pull it off, then go for a bigger size!

But if you're generally a modest person and particularly if you have a petite frame, then I'd say be conservative with your sizing. I don't think the advise of "when in doubt go bigger" is appropriate for everyone. Overall I'm glad I did it, but I think it's important to know it took me a while to get here, and it's perfectly normal to experience some doubts and regrets along the way. Anyway ladies, I hope this was helpful and all the best on your decision, whatever it may be!
