My Breast Augmentation Journey

Hi there, I will be honest I was skeptical to start this thread because even with my deposit already down I am still clinging back and forth in whether I should continue with this procedure. As of now my set date is the first week of December 2020 with Dr. Heather Vande Ven at Beautologie in Bakersfield CA.

I am 5’2 110lbs
Currently an 34A cup, going for a C cup with silicone implants so the recommended cc’s were 300-350

Surgery Day!

So I ended up going through with my surgery ! Woop woop! I chose 350 ccs high profile under the muscle. Honestly the pain right after is not bad I was able to put my arms up and move around. (I was trying to move not to much since it’s recommended to minimize activity. Although maybe after drugs wore off and I took a nap I had some pain so I decided to take some pain medicine. Here’s a photo of how my new girls look like. I will probably post how they look later with out the bra but to be honest just like any other person after getting their boobies done they look a little silly since they’re all high up. Of course it’s always the case for everyone but I would say most time.

I obviously can’t judge them entirely at the moment but I really like the size. I think it fits with my body but I guess we’ll see over time. I’m so excited to see how they drop and fluff.

As for my experience at Beautologie in Bakersfield. I loved it everyone was so sweet, patient and amazing. They made me feel so comfortable. Ill will definitely write a more detailed review later. I just don’t want to make it too long at the moment.

Aww, congrats for making it to the other side! I think you chose a wonderful size for you body & I'm hoping to be around the same size. My surgery is a month from tomorrow and we're similar in stature, so I'm excited to be a part of your journey. Continue getting some rest and try not to over-exert yourself, even when you're feeling better than you think. :-) Looking forward to more updates on how your feeling! I find that documenting my emotions/thought processes here is not only helpful for other people, but it's also really therapeutic haha. If you get bored binge-watching shows, feel free to scroll through my own entries. :) Take care! xo

How are you managing now with pain? I booked my breast augmentation and a labia plasty with a clitoral hood reduction in January 19 and I’m scared lol

Also I think it deletes everything I put after and emoji ... but from what I remember typing was that surgery goes pretty quick! I honestly don’t even remember what happened after I woke up. I think the hard part comes after surgery so don’t be too nervous. Make sure to have someone with you so they can help you after and confort you. Sending you good vibes and prayers <3

Hi Ashley! To be honest pain varies per person but I’ll let you know how it’s been for me. So right after the surgery I believe the first drugs and anesthesia they gave me might have still been there for a few hours after. So I decided not to take the pain medication until I fully needed it so the first time I took it was at 7 pm. (That’s when the pain felt a little too much. I could have gone longer because I do think I have a higher tolerance but I just took it because I wanted to sleep comfortably) . They prescribed Ultracet and was told to take 1 every 6 hours the day of surgery and 2 tablets 4-6 hrs the next days. So the pain honestly felt the worse the second day and third (it makes sense why they said to take more and in less time) ... but then again I decided to minimize the use of the Ultracet pain medication since it is a narcotic so partially could be my fault.( however I have seen that some women also say the second day was a bit hard too) The second day since it said to take two I decided to wait longer than 6hrs until the pain started to rise. Usually it would be after 8hrs. So it was the third day I decided to switch to Tylenol extra strength and for that it had to be taken every 8hrs. I think probably I should have stuck to taking the Ultracet for the first 3 days how I was told instead of two because it was probably a bit too early to ween off of it but then again Ultracet really caused me to be constipated, despite taking milk of magnesia. To be honest you could still feel some pain even with the medicine. The pain to me felt like muscle soreness, it felt as if I had two giant bricks were stuck on me. As if my skin could barely stretch to these foreign objects. Just very uncomfortable. Small arm movements hurt. Also to move into bed I would use a lot of leg work. Today is the 3rd day post op (so fourth day) and I’m just taking Tylenol and the pain is not bad at all. Hardly any pain. I just feel pressure. I just can’t pick up heavy stuff or reach too high. I think the muscle relaxers really help and the arnica pills for swelling (those make you a bit sleepy through) I’ve been taking so many naps

Thank you so much for the reply I was worried it might be way to much at once but now I’m wondering how I’ll move around with limited upper body and lower body if i do my labia and clitoral hood reduction too... maybe better to wait and do one at a time

Post op day vs post op day 4

Okay so first I will say that pain was not that bad until day 2-3. So I definitely had a lot of bed rest and sleep. The medication kept knocking me out and also I tried to stop taking the pain medication Ultracet by day 3 and switched to Tylenol (maybe it was a bit too early) but I don’t regret it because the pain medication really made constipated despite taking milk of magnesia. It wasn’t until today I was finally able to use the restroom. Also today taking Tylenol really took away the pain or maybe I didn’t have as much as the previous two days. I only felt pressure and of course still can’t do big movements with my arms.

As for the look of the boobies they still look squarish and ugly lol but I know this is only temporary and normal. It’s only been four days and you can kind of see some less swelling on today’s photo vs right after post op. Can wait to see them drop and fluff more !
