Post-Op Day 3 and My First Shower!
farrahfloDecember 25, 2021
WORTH IT$6,835
Post Op 3 has been interesting- I woke up earlier this am with more of a burning pain near my incisions, I was trying to see if I could go longer without taking my Hydrocodone but ultimately made it to 6hrs instead of 4 so that was an accomplishment.
I took my first shower today and that was so scary for some reason- mainly because I didn’t want to get my incisions too wet. My husband has to lightly scrub my body for my while I was outside of the water. Glad I did it but will definitely wait a couple more days till I do that again lol.
I feel like everyday I wake up it’s a little bit more strength but I can also tell when I push myself too far- my body gets so exhausted so fast.
I tried to help my husband out with the kids while he had a meeting to keep them in their room quite but go to the point where I felt so drowsy and light headed I needed to go lay back down.
Still super bloated and constipated- husband will be picking up stool softener tonight to help!

Day 1 of Recovery
farrahfloDecember 23, 2021
Day 1 was interesting- I was very sore and my chest felt so tight. If you’ve had kids it feels like your boobs are incredibly engorged while also the feeling of bruised ribs- Luckily I was given Hydrocodone so that takes the edge off of the pain!
I basically drifted in and out of sleep when I got home from surgery into the next day.
Waking up every 4hrs to take more meds

Day of Surgery!!
farrahfloDecember 23, 2021
My surgery was scheduled for 3:30pm on the 21st of December and I was supposed to be there at 2:30.
We took a wrong turn so we ended up getting there 15min late but all the staff was super sweet about and and ready to go!
I signed a couple more forms,
Dr. Burns came in excited and marked me up, explained his plan on where the incisions wood be and confirmed sizing!
Then I kissed my husband goodbye and they took me into the surgery room.
What I loved about that experience is all of the nurses were so incredibly sweet and caring!
The anesthesiologist was also very reassuring and made me feel confident in her.
The blankets were warmed on the table which was a nice touch- I also had leg massagers out on my legs to help with blood flow :)
I felt a jolt of something go into my hand IV and I asked if that was the anesthesia and they confirmed it was- I must have instantly fallen asleep because within seconds (it felt like) I was waking up in recovery!
