My Breast Augmentation Journey

Since I was a teen I always hated my breasts. They got worse after breastfeeding over 10 years ago.
I am 29, 5ft8, 62 kg. Having researched the procedure for years, in January I had my first consultation. I knew straight away what I wanted. I was a 34 B and wished for a 34D. A "natural look"- even though it will never be " natural".
I was prepared to deal with anything that came my way, only so I can feel more confident and sexier. I wanted it done before turning 30. I was tired of wearing heavily padded bras and bikinis, and I hated looking at myself in the mirror after a shower.
On the 6th of March I had my procedure at 11am. By 5 pm I was home, but in lots of pain.
I went for 330 cc motiva hp implants- and only now, after two weeks, I can say that they are starting to settle.
My recovery journey was difficult indeed. For a week, I was in lots of pain, and had swelling and bruising.
Been eating difene and solphedine like you'd eat m&m's, but hey, I kept saying to myself- it will all be worth it!
I had to sleep elevated and wore day and night that awful surgical bra, been constipated and SO bloated for days/ and couldn't shower by myself, or get dressed.
Even after two weeks I cannot wash my hair alone, and im still relying on hairdressers.
My partner has been helping 100% day and night with everything, and only now I am starting to be a little more mobile and to do things.i still can't drive which is a pain but hopefully by next week I'll manage.
I've been obsessed with this site, and it has provided me with lots of helpful info. Even chatting to ladies in a similar position has eased my "endless" recovery days.
I've now stopped the painkillers, ditched the surgical bra and got a new sports bra( hurrray) and I'm impatiently waiting for another few weeks to pass so I can see my final results!
To all of you who consider BA, I want to tell you to go ahead and make your dreams come true! The pain, sleepless nights etc are only temporary, and in my opinion it will all be worth it!
Best of luck to you all! Xx

Thank you :)
How are you getting on?
How many days post op are you? I'm 20 today ! The longest 20 days of my life !
Had to return to the surgical bra, which is awful, but I couldn't bear the sports bra at all! Bought like 4, and none got properly, and unfortunately m&s won't measure before 6 weeks post op.
Even this one feels so tight, everytime I take it off, I feel so relieved!
Where did you get your surgery, and how was your experience?xx

I traveled to Belgium for next day surgery. I’m day 29post op now. It gets easier! I have medium sports bras that I got in pennys find the more expensive ones very uncomfortable! Especially as stupid me washes and tumble dried mine! When I’m working I wear sports bra and then at home in evening I’m wearing again from pennys their soft crop top type non wired bras. I got a 3 pack for €10. Experience was great just the usual morning boob uncomfortableness up until last week I was doubled over screaming my nipples were excruciating even the air touching me I was gritting my teeth at the sensitivity. Thankfully that’s resolved now! I also had a spitting stitch but again healing well and scars are barely noticeable :) I spoke with surgeon he said to wear what I am comfortable in but obv I need the support when working still no heavy lifting (I’m a nurse). I did take 4 weeks off tho 2 annual leave and 2 sick leave as I was terrified I’d burst at work

Glad to hear you're recovering well! Looking forward to the next few weeks! I can't wait to be able to wear a normal bra, and to regain feeling in my breasts! The lower pole is completely still numb, and I completely get you on that nipple sensitivity - ouch!
Been off as well for nearly 3 weeks, only went back this week! Fortunately, i don't need to lift anything heavy at work- apart from books :-) so I was grand! Driving's painful too, but hopefully by next week I'll feel much better.
Got my surgery done in BlackRock clinic, happy so far with everything! Haven't seen my scars yet, they're well hidden under the crease! X
March 26, 2019
Ps I must go to penneys to buy one of those bras...
Thank you for the tip!
March 26, 2019
I’m only starting to get full feeling back in lower poles one day I’ll have it and the next numb again its weird. Definitely I’ll update now shortly show u the ones I mean. They are like crop tops give support but don’t hurt! I got a small in them as they are stretchy. A week really does make a big difference hang in there! Xx

Thank you Hun ..the weeks can't pass fast enough, got a wedding coming up in 4 weeks in South Africa- hopefully by then I'll be dropped, fluffed , and good to display my new assets LOL
Dreading the long haul flight, btw how was your flight back from Belgium?xx
March 26, 2019
Flight back was 3 days post op - honestly it was fine. Made sure I timed it well! Pick up was at 1pm from hotel and flight at 4pm so I took tramadol an hour before flying to relax me and made sure I ate, had snacks with me too but it wasn’t sore or anything, I was terrified I’d pop like a bag of crisps with cabin pressure (I seen some horror story that was obv fake) surgeon laughed he must think I’m crazy but I was serious! I know I’ve a party this Saturday but I don’t think I’m ready to unleash them yet haha I still have frankenboobs
March 26, 2019
Hahahaha, you're so funny !
I know what you mean about popping, I feel very strange at times while on ground lol
Every time I take of my surgical bra, I'm moving like a robot, like they might fall to the ground :D
I guess it will be weeks or months before I get used to them, bought loads of bodysuits and dresses that reveal some cleavage, although I can't see myself having the courage to wear them any time soon ! Xx
March 26, 2019
That’s me! Hahaha I’m laughing so much! I take it off and I’m like the man from the right guard advert that can’t lift my arms above my elbows
March 26, 2019
Ha haha! You and me both!
I feel sorry for my fiance, he must be thinking that I've lost the plot everytime I go for a shower! :D

Yours looked so natural from day 1! They’ll look so good once they fully drop and fluff xx
March 28, 2019
Thanks hun, but I think they still look like 'ripe at home melons' lol
Still hard and rather too perky for my liking... Hopefully the next few weeks will bring about huge changes

Still getting morning sorness and wondering whether this is normal ? Also I still can't wear normal clothes- everything I wear needs to have buttons/ zips... wondering when I'll be able to fully lift my arms without being in pain ...

Yours look so good and natural! Probably because you started off with more breast tissue than me.. mine are like stretched melons compared to yours!
March 26, 2019
JCKING 1, they're not! Yours look great too! I feel like mine are looking really fake too, asked my partner and he was like ... Yep, they're still looking fake!
Can't wait for them to drop, I don't think they've dropped at all in 20 days!?
I keep looking at pics but I can't see a huge difference!
And oh, my skin is now flaking all over them, don't know if is the bio oil, or simply dead tissue?!
Have you heard or experienced anything similar? Xx

How are you getting on with your movement? I still can’t lift my arms above my head without even thinking about it like I did before my ba..
Mine are the exact same, flaking and spotty! No matter how much exfoliating I do or how much coconut oil I put on, I’m always shedding! It’s disgusting when I take my black bra off! Xx
March 28, 2019
Hey hun, I'm still like a robot everytime I take off my support bra- literally a robot ! I haven't managed to lift my arms straight above my head, and I won't even bother trying for now . Yesterday's highlight was that I managed to put on a lose fitted top which had no zip or buttons! I'm still flaking like a phyton , bio oil doesn't seem to do the trick ! I'm also itching a lot, and it's pretty damn hard to do it in public LOL How are you getting on ? Have they dropped a little? Mine are still the same and I'm starting to blame it on the bra! I've noticed from your photos that we are using the same one- too much of a coincidence that we're both flaking, and that they don't seem to drop at all! I'm planning to try wearing something else, I bought the bra that boobs booked lady suggested from Primark! I'll give it a try and see xx
March 29, 2019
Did u try primark bra yet?

I had my mommy makeover 5 days ago and I heard of not being able to lift the arms. I'm heading I am able to do so.

Hi ladies!
Thought I'll share a little update!
I'm 5 weeks post op now, breasts have started to drop a bit(right one definitely)!!
They are still hard overall and achy in the mornings. I have now resumed 90% of my usual activities, and really looking forward to getting back on track 100%.
Still sleeping slightly elevated and on my back, I hope that next week I'll be cleared to sleep on my side.

So annoying that they don’t drop at the same time! But they’re looking good!
