Breast Augmentation? Implants? Fat Transfer?
MinnieJPJanuary 25, 2019
WORTH IT$10,000
At this point I've had 3 consults for breast augmentation (2 in San Francisco, 1 in Palo Alto) with possibilities for breast implants, lipo for abdomen, CoolSculpting, and fat grafting to breasts from abdomen.
After my first 2 consults I thought I had decided on Ideal Implants probably 335-370cc. Then I had my third consult today and the PS spoke highly of fat grafting so now I'm rethinking it. So much to consider! I'm kind of overwhelmed by making the right decision.
I'm a size 4 but have some extra belly fat and my breasts are a small 34B. I just want more of a womanly curve and definition between my waist and my breasts--nothing too extreme. I would like the fat transfer but worry the results won't last and the lipo could leave me with scars and bumps.
I have one more (4th) consult scheduled for next week (Walnut Creek), so we will see what she says...

My surgery is booked!
MinnieJPFebruary 21, 2019
I booked my surgeries for breast augmentation and abdominal liposuction for 4/23! I've decided on the Ideal Implant but am still deciding between the 340cc and 375cc sizes.
I've been wearing the rice sizers at home to estimate what I would look like. I did 11.5oz each which is supposed to be about 350cc silicone, but my husband says the 350cc silicone sizers at the doctor's office look a lot smaller so maybe I should go more toward 375cc if I like the size of the 350cc rice? I don't want to look too big and fake. I just want to look proportionate to my body: I'm 5'4, 125lbs, current bra size very small 34B

Deciding on size...
MinnieJPMarch 7, 2019
The countdown is on! It's 1 month and 16 days before my breast augmentation and liposuction surgeries!
I'm still deciding between Ideal Implant 335cc size filled to 340cc and 370cc size filled to 375cc. At first I was going for 340cc, then I decided I wanted 375cc, now I'm thinking 340cc again. My pre-op is April 3 so I just have to decide by then. My PS has 3D imaging so I'm guessing I'll get to see that again to help me decide at my pre-op. Right now I'm 5'4, 125lbs, and wear 34A1/2 (sometimes 34B) from ThirdLove
Anyway, decided to compile and post some wish pics to help me choose ;)

We have similar body type and I was also torn between 375 or 485. I ended up w 375 (I’m 2 weeks post op). So far I am happy w my decision. I like that in clothes, I can down play them if I want, but LOVE having he curves to show them off if I want. Like you I wanted upper pole fullness....but nothing that looked obviously fake. It’s so hard to make that final decision though. For me, I was afraid of looking too big, and since 375 was my first pick in size, that’s what I went with. Good luck to you on your journey. I’ll be following your story.

Yay! So exciting, surgery day is getting here soon! You do have a bit more breast tissue to start with than I did, so you could get really fantastic results with the 340cc size, based on your vectra 3D images. And remember, with Ideal, the doctor can always add more saline to them; 335cc is not a definite or finished size. The same is true for all sizes of Ideal implants; they can be adjusted to suit each person perfectly. If you’re not wanting to go too big, 335 might be your ticket. That will give the Dr opportunity to increase toward the 370cc size without overdoing it. I’ll also be following your story; it’s an exciting journey to be on!

Thanks! You are totally right about Ideals (or saline). I was thinking doing the 335cc size and then fill a bit more. Unfortunately I got a call today that Ideals on are back-order until at least June so now I don't know if I will wait for them or choose something else. Are you happy you did Ideal and did you have any scheduling issues with them?

March 28, 2019
Aye, what disheartening news! No I didn’t have any issues with making sure I got the right size, at least my doctor didn’t say so, and we kept my original date. I am very happy with Ideal, however, it’s definitely not a comparison since Ideal is the only implant I’ve ever had. I’m extremely glad for the peace of mind they offer.

Thank you for your thoughts. You look like you got great, natural results! You are right that if I get them a bit smaller, I can always wear a push up bra but if they are too big, you can't really cover them up! haha

No problem! Glad I could offer some post-op insight. You are right; a smaller size can be played up or down, but it’s not easy to disguise really big boobs. I see clothed pictures of myself and my chest isn’t ostentatious. It looks appropriate to me.

Yours fit your frame well. I am worried about going too big BUT I ended up deciding on 415cc even though I was thinking about 300cc initially. Oh well. The 3D imaging is helpful so I hope to turn out similar to my wish pics. The cc’s are so dependent on frame and profile of implant and I have wide shoulders so I’m trying not to worry...
