BA Experience with Dr. Altman
My experience with Dr. Altman was amazing. From the inception (before anything was booked or any payments were made) he made himself accessible to answer all my burning questions.
I travelled to Miami from the Caribbean for my surgery and Dr. Altman and the staff at MPS were very welcoming. During my pre-op appointment (day before surgery) I was super nervous and even began second guessing my decision but Dr. Altman calmed my fears immediately upon entering the room where we had the pre-op appointment. I ended up going a little smaller than originally planned the morning of surgery and he was also super supportive of that decision.
The day of surgery went well and I was up and about afterwards like nothing happened. With the exception of the first few days where I was really bloated and uncomfortable (due to the pain meds and muscle relaxers), my healing was super easy! After 3 days I got off the strong pain meds and muscle relaxers due to the bloating they caused and took paracetamol instead. After one week of having surgery I stopped taking the paracetamol and was off ALL pain meds completely. After a week I began doing my massages which felt unusual at first but got easier with time. I also did some arm exercises (raising slowly above head etc so help alleviate stiffness in my chest). I had no bruising whatsoever and took arnica tablets for the first couple weeks after surgery.
As the weeks progressed so did I. I had some soreness and sensitivity for the first couple of weeks but by week 4 I felt completely normal as if I did not even have surgery.
Today makes exactly 6 weeks and I have just finished my first workout since surgery, which went great.
Thank you so much Dr. Altman, you and MPS were the best decision I could have made.
