Couldn't Be Happier with my Experience!

I flew all the way from the US to the UK specifically to have my Mia Femtech breast augmentation with Dr Marando after reading so many amazing reviews about him, and I am so glad I did. From my very first interactions with the clinic through my post-op appointments, Dr Marando, his nursing/surgical team, and the administrative team were absolutely wonderful. Everyone was incredibly patient with my millions of questions and so accommodating throughout the entire process, which made what could have been a stressful experience feel so much easier.

I initially had an in-person consultation with Dr Marando, where we discussed my goals, whether I was a good candidate for Mia Femtech, what kind of results I could realistically expect, and the different implant size options. He also took the time to explain the technology and procedure to me in detail, which I really appreciated. I am someone who feels much more comfortable when I understand exactly how something works, and I never felt rushed when asking questions.

A couple of months later, we had a virtual consultation to confirm everything. I was still very indecisive about implant size, so Dr Marando continued discussing the options with me over email. I actually didn't make my final decision until the day of surgery, after seeing the implants in person again (I ended up going for 195cc implants)! I really appreciated being given the time and space to make that decision without ever feeling pressured.

The procedure itself went extremely smoothly. I chose to have general anesthesia and was very happy with that decision. I had surprisingly little discomfort afterward - I was able to walk back to my hotel about two hours after surgery and took the train to London the following day.

I followed all of my post-op instructions to a T, and my recovery has honestly been much easier than I expected. The majority of my discomfort came from having to wear the post-op strap rather than from the incisions or surgery itself. My swelling started becoming noticeable the evening of surgery and was at its worst around day 3, then gradually began subsiding.

I saw Dr Marando again one week after surgery to check my progress, and then again at three weeks before flying home. At that point, I was actually worried that I had chosen a larger implant than I intended. Dr Marando reassured me that much of what I was seeing was still swelling and that the implants would continue to settle - and he was absolutely right.

I am now six weeks post-op, and I absolutely love my results. I know there will still be some minor settling over the next few months, but they already look incredibly natural. I went from being very flat in the upper breast and around an A cup to approximately a B-and-a-half/C cup, which is exactly the kind of subtle, proportional result I wanted. No one can believe I've had my breasts done!

Most importantly, I still look like myself but with the shape and fullness I had hoped for. I am incredibly grateful to Dr Marando and his entire team for making the experience so positive from beginning to end. Flying from the US to the UK for surgery was obviously a big decision, but I couldn't be happier that I chose Star Clinic!
