The ‘Breast’ Surgeon Around
WORTH IT
My journey started 10 years ago at the age of 17. As a petite athletic young girl I dreamed of filling out tops, wearing bikinis and feeling really comfortable with my body. 5 months ago, having spoken about it for all these years and having finally grown hips and thighs I decided that now was the time to do it.
I started my search for a surgeon with a dual approach, word of mouth and Instagram. Adam came recommended by a friend who said to look through a list of local surgeons through a
Private hospital and after a quick Instagram check, I booked my initial consultation.
After my initial consultation, I knew that Adam was the surgeon for a number of reasons. Firstly, he put my at ease and no question I asked was too silly or too risqué; secondly because he was so informative and gave me all of the information I needed; Thirdly because he is so proud of his work and what he creates that I felt safe in his hands but most of all, his positive energy and incredible bedside manner made me feel ready to take the leap!
I should also mention the incredible software Adam uses, Crisalix, that shows you 3D AR of your size options. You can download the app and take this away to choose your size, my options for sizing were 270, 360,415 and a 500+. I’d really done my research and knew the look I was going for but this software was incredible seeing it come to life.
We booked my follow on appointment and surgery that week.
The final appointment we confirmed sizing, tried on the implant in my top to see what it would look like and ran through the plan for the surgery day. I chose to go for a 360 implant, bilateral ( above the muscle) due to my active hobbies such as windsurfing and swimming.
DAY OF SURGERY!
The time was finally here and I really cannot speak higher of the BMI hospital staff that looked after me. Adam saw me first, created his masterpiece in purple pen and marked out the incisions. The anaesthetist came and did their bit and within an hour I was in surgery.
I had a really successful surgery, and within 12 hours of going into hospital I was discharged. After 3 days of bed rest, and mainly feeling groggy from anaesthetic, I found the pain very manageable without strong medication, and felt fairly mobile and comfortable though I was pleased I practiced upright sleeping beforehand!
I was able to wash myself, wash my hair over the bath and do some work by day 5.
18 Weeks Post Op Update!
I am over the moon with the end result of my boobs. They are now a D cup, and have fluffed up and settled really naturally. They feel like my own. I’ve been swimming, paddleboarding and snowboarding and all have felt great. The only odd feeling I get is when I shiver which due to my hobbies can be quite often but it’s not uncomfortable it just feels like they don’t shiver with the rest of me!
I do not regret one part of having the surgery and have been constantly supported by Adam throughout my recovery.
