Finally Scheduled my Surgery

I finally had my surgery yesterday with Dr. Altman. I got breast augmentation with lipo to the abdomen and flanks. Overall, I had a great experience. His back office staff was super helpful and friendly. I met with the anesthesia nurse right before surgery. She explained the whole process and answered all my questions. The whole team from Dr Altman to his clinical staff were all professional and personable. There was a last minute emergency that delayed my surgery but it was no big deal as I appreciated that they always kept me informed and reassured me they had not forgotten about me.

The surgery was a breeze. All I remember was that one minute I was talking to the anesthesia nurse and the next moment my surgery was done. When I woke up I had my faja and surgical bra on.

As far as pain, I had very little discomfort. I had some tightness in the chest area and my left breast was soar. I did take two Percocet when I got to the recovery house and right before bed, I took a muscle relaxer.

I am super excited to have finally schedule my surgery! I have been wanting to get breast augmentation since I was in my early 20's. But I always wanted to have kids first and then once I was done having kids I would get them done. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. I am now 41, recently divorced and did not have children. So I finally decided to do something for myself.
I had originally scheduled my surgery with another surgeon. But I found that every time I had questions I had a really hard time getting a response from the office. I also was not very impressed with my consultation. The surgeon was quick to rush me off the phone and was very short with his responses. I almost felt as though I was bothering him. Needless to say, I was not 100% convinced I wanted to go through with the surgery, even though I had already given a deposit.
I came across Dr Altman's information through realself and then I began following him on Instagram. From the pictures I have seen, Dr Altman's work is amazing. I decided to reach out to him for a phone consultation. He is very busy so I did wait about 2 weeks for a response. Honestly, I was very impressed with my first interaction with him. He called me himself. I felt like he genuinely cared about what I wanted and my personal goals. I never once felt rushed. He answered all my questions and actively listened. At the end of my conversation I was convinced he would be my surgeon. I didn't think twice about losing my deposit with the other surgeons office. His office called me the following week and I scheduled my surgery with him.
So far my interactions with his staff have been great. No complains or concerns. Karina, his surgery coordinator is super sweet and very responsive. I am looking forward to my upcoming surgery.
