Finally! Had my breast augmentation yesterday (August 28th, 2020)

Thank you!! It's funny... I really wanted a natural size that would look proportionate on me. After trying on the sizers, I thought I wanted 375s. I am so grateful that I went to Dr. Brown because he knew what I wanted and gave me exactly that. I ended up with 325 and 345 smooth round gummy bears. Good luck with our surgery! So exciting! :)

Hi Kitty! Availability was part of my process for choosing a surgeon. There are so many amazing board certified surgeons in my area, so I had a ton of options (and I still feel like I chose the best one). I called on a Monday and they had an opening for the consult on Thursday with surgery the same Friday. I knew I wanted to get it done, so I was grateful that I didn't have to wait a month or two. I was a bit nervous too... which is why I waited so long to have it done. Here are some things that made me feel better: 1. My surgeon uses the touchless funnel method which is super sanitary and reduces the risk of capsular contracture 2. Implants really don’t need to be changed unless you have an issue or want a different size 3. A rare form of cancer was linked to the textured implants that aren’t on the market anymore. I went with the round, smooth, gummy bear 4. Even if the gummy bear is punctured, broken, or torn (I can’t imagine what the rest of my body would look like if that much force was put on it), the silicone isn’t going anywhere 5. Working from home is the perfect time to have a surgery that needs a bit of recovery time 6. I went long enough obsessing about how swimsuits and certain tops didn’t look good on me and being jealous of others. I just wanted to be “normal” and not have to rely on super padded bras and fancy pads/inserts to make my tops fit. I hope this helps. I’m six days out now and I’m feeling better every day. I love my new look and sometimes I can’t believe that I actually did it. Other times I can’t believe I waited so long. Just know that you’re beautiful with or without them. Good luck!

I really want gummy bear implants but trying to choose between moderate + or HP. I will follow your journey and I really hope your recovery is easy. Each day your boobs are going to look better. Oh my gosh! That's great! I totally recommend Dr. Brown. I went with moderate because I was going for a more natural look. Dr. Brown is really great at listening to what look you're going for and making it happen. Before your consult (free), go on his website and screenshot after pics that you like. I found about 8 that started with a similar look to me and the after pics were amazing. It was easy for him to know exactly what to use on me to get a similar result. Yes, definitely mention the $1k RealSelf offer. I used it too. As far as recovery goes, it is now day 6 and I am feeling so much better. I'm not nearly as sore and I am much more self-sufficient now. As a side note, I never took the narcotic pain killer, so I may have been a bit less comfortable than other people. Even so, it really wasn't bad at all. I'm so excited for you. (Check out the pic I just posted. I put on a tube top... I can't even believe it!!)
