The Eye Roll Emoji Sums Him Up…!!!
I wasn’t initially planning to leave a review, but after reflecting on my experience, I feel it’s important to share.
If you can’t be bothered to read the full story, (as it is long as hell) here’s the summary:
of my experience, Mr Davis seemed far more interested in delivering patronising lectures than providing a professional medical consultation. Instead of listening, he appeared to assume, dismiss, and talk over leaving me feeling treated as though I needed “educating” rather than actual clinical advice.
This sums him up perfectly. So here comes a semi full version of events;
A few weeks ago I saw Mr Marcus Davis after reading many positive reviews I was hoping he would be the right consultant to address the concerns with my breasts and eyelids, While he was friendly and down-to-earth, the overall consultation left me genuinely surprised by the lack of professionalism.
During the appointment, he made several unnecessary remarks “jokes” about my slender frame. I’m a healthy size 6 with a normal BMI, so these comments felt out of place and inappropriate. I doubt similar “jokes” would be made to a curvier woman seeking a reduction.
I explained that I have 10-year-old implants placed to fill loose breast tissue after going from an A cup to a G cup during pregnancy. Unfortunately my implants didn’t fully achieve this but I didn’t want to be seen as picky so left it, over the course of 10 years more laxity has developed, including a visible fold and a descended nipple. I wanted these issues corrected and to go slightly bigger to restore fullness. Although he acknowledged the physical concerns, he repeatedly diverted the discussion to irrelevant topics including telling me I would need to “mentally prepare” for unwanted male attention in bars if I increased my cup size. This was an odd and unhelpful comment in a medical consultation, especially as I wasn’t asking for anything extreme, just a size increase comparable to wearing a padded bra, that I told him I always wear out in public as it makes me feel more comfortable.
When discussing an upper blepharoplasty, something I’ve considered for years due to heavy hooded eyelids, I mentioned having tried a Botox brow lift previously. He insisted Botox “causes heavy eyelids,” despite me explaining that mine have always been naturally hooded a family trait. When I briefly mentioned my mother’s eyelids and my upbringing, he abruptly told me I needed counselling and that eyelid surgery wouldn’t help me emotionally. I found this presumptive and inappropriate.
Although he took photos and acknowledged the issues that needed correcting, he then told me, “If you were my sister, I wouldn’t operate on you,” and ultimately declined to carry out the breast procedure. He asked if I still wanted a quote for the eyelid surgery, I said yes, but I never received anything, maybe he felt i wouldn’t be letting this man operate on me or he simply couldn’t be arsed as just wanted to earn a buck easily who knows.
Overall, the appointment felt dismissive and more like a £200 conversation than a genuine consultation. I left feeling unheard, judged, and frankly insulted. A clear, straightforward explanation such as “going bigger won’t achieve the results you want” due to x y z would have been perfectly acceptable. Instead, I received unnecessary comments, off-topic lectures, and an attitude that felt condescending and arrogant.
In the end, I’m glad he said no, as I wouldn’t want to undergo surgery with someone who didn’t want to do the job. But after acknowledging the issues, then shifting to remarks about unwanted male attention, ill-fitting dresses, and ultimately suggesting I see his colleague instead, the entire experience felt disjointed and unprofessional. It left me very disappointed to have paid for what felt like a complete fob-off from start to finish, I could go on with all the comments he made as this doesn’t cover the lot to be honest.
