I suck at introductions but let's give it a shot, seems like a safe space lol. Anyways I'm about 5'2, 32A but probably smaller tbh, 22 years old, and no babies. I've grown to love my body as is and was perfectly okay with never getting any procedures done due to the finances and recovery time honestly. I've wanted to get BA for as long as I can remember though and when I learned of the financing option it was definitely a journey I wanted to continue. I've consulted a couple surgeons and right now I'm looking to schedule surgery within the next month. Surgery for BA would be 275cc on the right, 250cc on the left, and left ptosis correction. I'm a bit concerned on recovery, sleeping lol, the medicines, and whether I should keep this to myself. I sleep on my right side and I've read TONS of reviews of people saying it's a hard adjustment period and so I've been trying to sleep on my back but I think after surgery you have to sleep sitting up for like 6 months? HOWWWW??? Lol anyways I'm still excited for this journey and hope to find a supportive community here so hi!

Hello & congrats! First of all you don't have to sleep on your back for 6 months haha. I see your from the DMV area. I went to Dr. Chiaramonte at Bella Cosmetics in National Harbor. I had a BL/BA in July 2017. It would be really helpful to include b&a pics with your journey. You will find RS super helpful and supportive. I wish you luck and keep us updated!

Hi there! Congrats on taking this big step! Excited to follow your journey! I was also a side sleeper! It was a very BIG adjustment for me to sleep sitting up! It's been two years PO and I still sleep on my back. (Slightly elevated) Sleeping on my side just feels weird but my implants are very big. I also found out (after lots of research) that sleeping on your side causes premature wrinkling of your face !!! Yikes!! so that was another big factor in why I stop sleeping on my side.

I always recommended for those side sleepers to put a pillow between their breasts when sleeping. It helps support the breasts. I'm a side sleeper and I alternate between my sides and back esp when I was dealing with lots of hair loss on one side. However I find sleeping on my back at a slight angle is bad for my back. I have major back issues and truly need a spinal fusion from T12-L5. I wake up in tremendous pain when sleeping on my back at a angle. But still to this day I mash that pillow between my breasts to sleep comfortably at night.

It's a big adjustment but you can get used to it! My advice would be to go a little bigger than what you think to account for under the muscle placement. Excited to follow your journey good luck and keep us posted! :)

@Teenitiny I agree w/bebe06 on the size esp if your going under. Always remember to follow your PS orders and you'll be ok. bebe06 and I went through our surgeries around the same time a few years ago. You'll love the support from the site and find ladies you can relate too. Good luck!!

Thank you! Just read through your journey, wow! Definitely can tell your first week was very challenging but I loved seeing your mood change reflect through your posts shortly after. I tried sleeping on my back yesterday slightly elevated and woke up with neck pain. I will try again and take you and a few other tips from some other reviews--use a neck pillow !! Haha I will definitely keep you all posted!

Welp. It’s been four days of a rollercoaster of emotions and this morning I was at the very top. Only to come full speed down. Ugh.
So on the 7th was my first post with tons of positive feedback, on the 8th I was CLEARED for surgery by my PCP, on the 9th I graduated from Undergrad as SUMMA CUM LAUDE, on the 10th I paid off one of my credit cards, and this morning on the 11th I was approved for more than what is need to finance the procedures! I was feeling G O O D OKAY. G O O O O D. I was so optimistic specially because the date I wanted was available from the last time I had spoken to the office, the 22nd. I sent in my information this morning before they opened the office so we could be scheduled and set by close of business. However, I hadn’t received a call so I called the office and was advised surgical scheduling has been placed on hold. :( .
I know things are tough, scary, and unknown so I definitely understand why this is happening but I’m still down about it. I hope things are back to normal for the sake of the world not just my flat chest. (Lol).

Welp. This morning around 9 am I literally said "I just want my boobs done, c'mon" at myself lol. A couple hours later I received a phone call from a lovely lady letting me know that the surgical hold was being lifted for May or maybe the patients that were in the process for May surgeries are still being allowed? Girl I do not remember lol. What I do remember is that they were offering me a spot on the morning of the 27th! She let me know that due to being on top of everything required they could offer me a 10:15 surgery time and we would have to wait for the hospital confirmation.
I AM EXCITED. WHAT.
I can't wait until I receive the information on the medications, specifics on surgical bras, eye ointments--all the goodies. I'm type A AF and I like to be prepared. I am definitely nervous mainly for the recovery process. From what I've read and watched the first 48 hours are hell ???? I'm trying to do arm stretches, stretching the OG boobies now and seeing if that has any impact on post op lol.
Nonetheless, 14 DAYS TO GO BABY. Send me all the good juju, TIPS, do's and don'ts, everything :)
