2nd Breast Augmentation with Dr Kim - Went 450cc Saline to 605cc Silicone

WORTH IT$7,000
Back in 2009 I got saline implants filled to 450ccs. We did it thru my belly button. It was $6,500 at the time. The pain wasn't too bad. It was difficult to get up to goto the bathroom due to my stomach muscles being sore. I just took a lot of vicodin that theyll give you. The hardest part for me was going in to the surgery it was scary. So dont even think about the pain, it will be so worth it at the end. My breasts came out very good I love them... I wore a full c or small d bra, they are soft and squishy (not hard at all) .
Update to 2020:
One of my breasts was slightly larger, and after a while started to droop. Also, I started getting Rippling in the sides and couple feel the bag more. I decided to go back to Dr Kim and get silicone, high profile. The 2nd time was MUCH easier than the first. And apply for a care credit card, it’s 0% interest for 24 months to pay them off.

How do the silicone feel compared to the saline? I have saline and I have rippling and when I bend and I can feel the.l bag so easy. Do you notice the Silicone feeling more natural?

It is a lot less rippling with silicone, but I can still feel the ripples. If you can afford it, get the gummy bear implants. I guess my skin thinned out so I can still kinda feel it ripple but it’s not too bad. I didn’t get them Bc it was like 2 grand more

Why are you posting this on people's pictures ? Your information has no scientific basis. Not to take away from your personal experience but that really is all it is, stop trying to ignite fear in others when they've just had an operation, it's highly inappropriate.

You need to stop, seriously. You’re copying and pasting the same material on multiple women’s pages. These women are sensitive and already are worried as any new patient would be. Shame on you behind a computer screen picking apart these poor women just because they wanted to better themselves!

LOVE your results. Would appreciate if you’d share a squish video showing their movement. Thanks for sharing your story with us!

I have seen the user breastimplantsnomore who is scrutinizing implants on multiple women’s pages posting long comments saying the exact same thing. Literally copied and pasted. I agree with it not being appropriate to post those matters. We are here to support each other, not to go around copy and pasting negativity on women’s pages.

I forgot to add, I am 31 years old, 5’4 and 120lb. I was an A or very small B cup before, but I had breast fed my son for a year, which stretched out my tissue a bit and I believe helped the implants to look more natural. Check out dr David Kim in Beverly Hills, Ca. He is amazing at was he does. Before my 2nd augmentation I went to a few other drs and they wanted to do a Lollipop lift which would have been a lot more expensive and I’d have scars down my breasts. Dr Kim was adamant that he could solve my droopy breast with internal stitches (which he did). He also gave me a discount for being a return patient. I do wish I had gone with moderate-plus profile, instead of high profile because I like the natural look where they hang/slope but I’m overall very happy with them. I’d also like to add that my previous saline implants felt VERY natural, maybe even more so than my silicone implants. So if price is an issue, you can go with the cheaper saline, and just massage the crap out of them.

For HP they appear very natural like you were meant to be big breasted. I hope that makes sense. It gives you a more mature/fuller look. I heard internal stitches/bras are painful? Do you experience any discomfort? Thanks for your update.

No I don’t feel any different once they healed

Wow! You look amazing! They look very natural already! Looking forward to future posts.

Wow! You look amazing! Our stories are pretty identical. I also went to Dr. Kim for umbilical breast saline augmentation (420cc), breastfeed and now ready to go bigger and have less ripples. I also wanted to go 650cc silicone to feel more natural and less ripples, but do really think saline is better/not much difference? That’s my biggest debate right now, and don’t want to spend more on silicone if there isn’t much of a difference. Let me know what you think... thank you!

You will have less rippling with the silicone. My saline felt more natural but had more ripples. Gummy bear implants with have the least amount of ripples, but i was told feel even less natural. I’d say go with the silicone, I think they will last longer than saline while still keeping the natural feel of a breast

Thank you! Your story and pictures have been very helpful esp. from the same doctor. Much appreciated!

Someone requested a squish video so here it is. This is one year and 3 months post op. I had my saline implants replaced with 605cc silicone implants. There were no complications, they dropped within a week since it was my second augmentation.

Did you have them on top or under the Muscle.. I am still trying to decide what to do.. I had one consultation and he wants to do under them muscle and it my first time to have this done.. not sure if I should get saline on top of the Muscle or the gel kind under or on top.. I’m not going anymore and really need them fixed trying to decide what to do
User Avatar

100% get them under the muscle. If you can afford silicone get silicone, they will last longer before needing replacement

My surgeon will only go over and with gel :( so I have no choice

Never mind you already answered the question to someone else.. sorry

Weird. You may want to reconsider your dr! It should almost always be placed under the muscle and I would second guess a dr that said anything different. Make sure he is board certified and others are satisfied with their results. Good luck
