Liked the Doctor, Horrible Staff
I’m writing this bad review to hopefully get the attention of Dr. Scott Mosser.....because every time I call and ask to speak with him, his horrible staff will not let me!
I am transgender and I had really high hopes for this doctor, because when we talked on the phone I felt really comfortable with him and wanted to proceed with my surgery with him....so, he was going to have his insurance staff submit my predetermination paperwork to the insurance company, so we could then schedule the surgery for this December. However, that didn’t happen....
Instead, many weeks went by and they didn’t submit anything. I talked with Dr. Manish about it, and he apologized and said that they would submit it right away and he thought they had already submitted it. However, when they submitted it this time they only submitted it for the liposuction and not also for the fat transfers like Dr. Mosser and I had talked about during the consultation.....
I was wanting to schedule my surgery, and for over a week I called and spoke with several people and emailed and repeatedly asked to be able to speak with Dr. Scott Mosser, my OWN PHYSICIAN. However, his staff was very curt and rude and simply wouldn’t let me do so. I felt like I kept getting the complete horrible runaround with his staff, and I am so frustrated I don’t know what else to do but to post this review and hope the doctor Mosser sees it and contacts me to fix this....
One of his staff kept demanding did she schedule another consultation with me with Dr. Mosser “at some point in the future, but we don’t know when,” because she claimed I never discussed with him about the fat transfers....but I did!! Just because he may not have written it down in the notes doesn’t mean he and I didn’t discuss it....why couldn’t they take 1-2 mins and just ask him!?! She wasn’t there, and I felt like she was calling me a liar......Ugh....I sadly feel like a complete NUMBER here, instead of a VALUED CUSTOMER...
As a leader and the transgender community, many people who are transgender ask me for advice about doctor recommendations and surgery and everything else. Previously I have been referring them to Dr. Mosser is a good physician, and I am sure he is very good but my experience staff has been most unpleasant and horrible...pls, I’d like a PERSONAL PHONE CALL FROM DR. MOSSER.....ugh they just need to submit the stupid insurance stuff for the third time - and properly this time, pls - and get my surgery scheduled....His cisgender staff has no idea how harmful their runaround amd delays are to the transgender community...
