Best Decision

First and foremost: I was a flat chested 32A and I am a gigantic wimp about pain. My results are above and beyond what I expected. I went in with some ideas of what I wanted, and Dr. Levin discussed all my options and what he felt would be best for me. Ultimately, it was my decision what I wanted to achieve, but he helped me make the most informed decision I could. I opted for silicone implants.

I heeded his advice on sizing and I am happy I did. I went from a 32A to a 32D and I have never felt more confident. I finally fit in clothing I dreamed of wearing, and recently even bought my dream wedding dress. Before surgery I was nervous about shopping for a dress because I thought I would have to wear a bra, thus limiting my options. However, now I fit in anything I want and I couldn't be happier. And let me tell you, going braless is awesome.

The best part is, if you looked at me you wouldn't know I have implants. I have told acquaintances and the response is "NO WAY!". When I am wearing a regular shirt, you would really never guess. When wearing a swimsuit or a low cut top the size is more noticeable. However, it's noticeable in a good way, not a "[RS bleep]" way. I look completely natural and that's what I wanted.

The surgery itself was easy. As mentioned, I'm a wimp (they had to put a sock over the IV needle because I would've fainted if I saw it). I was very nervous but the hospital staff and Dr. Levin's team made it easy.

I came home about 6 hours after being admitted and was awake the rest of the day in little to no discomfort. My chest was tightly bound, so I didn't feel too much.

I went in the next day and they took the wrap off, which I would say was the most painful (but ultimately not bad at all) part of the process. I spent the next week on the couch watching Netflix and using my arms like a T-Rex because you can't pick anything up. Hilarious for those around you. My fiancé stayed with me the day following surgery, and the 2nd day post-op a nurse friend stopped by for a little, but I was fine being pretty independent. Just make sure someone leaves the essentials on the kitchen counter for you so you can use your T.Rex arms to eat. Honestly, sitting still and not being productive was the most "painful" part of the whole thing. You can only watch so much Netflix...

I did have an issue with one of the incisions ripping about two weeks post-op (I didn't even feel it happen). My scar isn't the prettiest because of that, but they're still healing so I expect it to look better down the road.

If you're curious about sizing, here's some background:
I always wore XS/SM shirts. I still do! Even sports bras I wear a SM. People told me I would HAVE to buy an all new wardrobe...Not true. I now fill out the clothes I had and can still wear the same sizing. However, you will WANT to buy a new wardrobe because you can finally wear the low cut tops you dreamed of!

Overall I would honestly do the procedure again. If you're concerned about pain, don't be. I would absolutely describe it as one of the best decisions I've ever made. As I sat at home hours after surgery, all wrapped up and swollen, I was like, "What have I done?" But, after 15 feet of bandages are taken off and you take the first look in the mirror you feel overwhelming joy. I couldn't wait to go shopping. My confidence is through the roof, and that is a priceless feeling.
