How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Decision Time

I researched surgeons in my area, compared credentials, read reviews, and looked at past work. I emailed my top choices, eager to hear back. The first email returned was from Dr. Seckel and what I liked most about it was the email was personal. Each of my initial questions were answered specifically. I didn't receive a generic "cover all the bases" email. He then wrote that someone from his office would be in contact with me or that I could call to schedule a consultation, at which time I did.
His staff was beyond professional. They were curious and helpful. His office was easy to find.
My husband sat with me during my consultation and we told Dr. Seckel what I wished my outcome to be through pictures, tried on sizers. We took pictures of me in the sizers and went home to discuss all that we had learned.
My husband and I decided to schedule my surgery for 03/28/2017.

My Pre-op appointment I went into a bit hesitant. Looking at the pictures of myself in the sizers from my first consultation I felt that they didn'tt give me the exact look I wanted. We discussed with Dr. Seckel and Dr. Narasimhan my concerns, tried on different sizers with two different shirts on.
In the end we all agreed that my frame could hold 600ccHP (L) and 550cc HP (R).

Mentor 550cc HP (R) 600cc HP (L)

I went with Mentor smooth, round, cohesive gel implants. My BWD was 14. I decided on 550cc HP (R) and 600cc HP (L), crease incision. These pictures are the day of surgery.

Day 2

Feeling very tight. Icepacks have been my best friend especially throughout the night. Most of my discomfort comes from my sternum/cleave. I can actually feel the swelling if I press on it and the "side boob" of my left breast, larger implant. They are very warm to the touch and my nipples are puffy. I have decreased sensation from my areola down to the incision site bilaterally. I have only been taking pain medications before I go to bed to help me sleep through the discomfort. I'm propped up on a few pillows and make sure to have my mid back supported too.
