7 Days Before Surgery
WORTH IT$5,151
I had my consultation two weeks ago for breast augmentation with Dr. Sexton. We discussed what I hoped to achieve and he gave me his ‘portfolio’ of before and after pictures and some bras and sizers to try on. I put on one of the bras and played with the sizers until I liked what I saw in the mirror. I called Dr. Sexton back in and advised him that I wanted to go with 600 cc’s. With my breast width, we would have to go up to 605 cc’s. I scheduled my surgery for April 26th, and we discussed everything that I would need to do prior to the surgery, the actual surgery, and what I would need to do after the surgery. He gave me all the prescriptions so that I could get them filled and have it ready before the day of surgery. I met with his office managers to do all the financials ($5050 for silicone under muscle UNLESS paying with a credit or debit card, then there is a 2% addition fee) and they gave me all the paperwork that I would need to bring with me I the surgical center, and even gave me a map and very precise details on how to get to the center.
A few days later, after doing more research and debating with myself over the large size, I called Dr. Sexton’s office and asked if I could come back in to try on the sizers again. They fit me in that day. I bought a few bras around the size that I actually want to be, and took those with me to use for the sizers. The bras in the office are sports bras, and I didn’t feel like I was getting a true picture of how big 605 cc’s actually was. After playing with the sizers (while FaceTiming my BFF) I decided on around 450 cc’s. I discussed the change with Dr. Sexton, and he agreed that it would give me the look that I want to achieve, and I am now more confident in the size that I have chosen.
The surgery is coming up fast, I’m not really putting a lot of focus on it right now, because I am so busy with a lot of stuff going on in my private life. I have been trolling this site every night looking at all of the pictures, researching timelines of recovery, and reading any and all information that I can find about Dr. Sexton (who has incredibly high ratings!) I’m just ready for it to all be over with, so that I can get the healing process started.
I am starting with 38B breasts.

Day 4 Post Op
The day of my procedure was a blur. Doctors, nurses, anesthesiologists, everyone in and out of the pre-op room. Coming out of surgery, it was the worst. I had a lot of pain, it felt like an elephant on my chest and I had a difficult time breathing (or taking deep breaths). After the pain was controlled and the breathing came together, I was released and able to go home. I stopped for lunch and couldn’t eat, because my mouth was so dry. I couldn’t get enough to drink. I finally remembered the motion sickness patch and took that off. I don’t remember much else from that day.
Day 1 post op, a lot of pain, soreness, stiffness and sensitivity. I did quite a bit of walking around, raising my arms over my head, and taking pain reducers.
Day 2 post op, mostly spent on the couch, more pain reducers, more raising my arms over my head (this seems to be the most comfortable position for me).
Day 3 post op, mostly on the couch with mostly ibuprofen only a couple of muscle relaxers. WALKED a mile in the evening.
Day 4 post op, follow up appointment. Everything looks good and we’re now introducing implant movements three times a day. This is still scary and feels like it should hurt so much, but it isn’t as terrible as it sounds. I’ve only taken one muscle relaxer today, and one ibuprofen.

Raising your arms over your head? Don’t they say not to do that for several weeks?
