Breast Aug and Chin Lipo - DO IT!
Really am so happy about making the decision to get a breast aug here. After having two kids and breastfeeding I was ready for an “upgrade” — I am in my mid 30s and wanted better shape and size.
The staff and especially nurses here are so kind and really knowledgeable about what you need to do to recover the best and most effectively. Listen to them and the instructions— they do this literally all day/week/year so their experience/expertise is your advantage.
Dr. Robbins did a great job and the one thing I was naive about was which implant size to choose, as I’m sure most people are. Based on your body composition/measurements, you’re given a recommended range of “sizes” that will fit your body/shape best and ultimately it is up to you as a final decision on what that implant size/shape is. The staff and Dr. Robbins are helpful in the process at your pre-op appt in making that final decision.
I did ask if what happens if you pick an implant “outside” of the recommended range and was told you can/are technically allowed to of course pick a size “outside” of that recommended range however you and Dr. are on the same wavelength that the implant size you picked wasn’t one he/team recommended for best result/outcome. I didn’t pick a size outside of the
recommended range or anything lol but was just curious. They said they practice based on best long term result/outcome for patients.
I also was able to “add-on” chin liposuction and abdominal liposuction to my surgery. I figured since I was going under general anesthesia for the breast aug that this would be an ideal time to do it. I’m not heavy or overweight at all but definitely had stubborn fat on my abdomen and a developing double chin. Seriously best decision ever it was like night and day for the chin especially. Would highly recommend doing this procedure by itself and/or asking about if it would be a good option when you’re getting another surgery anyways like a breast aug.
I did also like that they have the operating room on site. Didn’t have to go to a hospital and liked the idea that the operating room/facility is only for cosmetic surgery. Felt more exclusive and specialized that way.
Finally I think there obviously aren’t a ton of legit options in Des Moines or Iowa and Dr. Robbins is an actual doctor (MD) and is board certified in all the legit areas of plastic and cosmetic surgery. The pricing was VERY competitive I thought as well for all things included/considered. Highly recommend going here at the very least for a consult to see what your options are and obviously surgery!
