Feeling pretty good overall. Still very numb, but have gotten more used to that. And noticing some feeling working it’s way from my armpit.

Back to all my workout routines. My chest feels a little more tender when doing chest presses and stretching my elbows below chest line. Not in a bad way, but just still some soft tissue healing likely going on.

Noticing some rippling :/ which supposedly wasn’t going to be a problem. It’s minor and pretty rare. See pic. That’s me pushing the implant. I mainly notice on my right implant, which has overall had more issues. Also laying down and implants splaying away from sternum is awkward. See pic. But right implant seems to not be moving up towards shoulder like it was previously? Still sleeping in bra.

It’s been hard to adjusts to imperfections of implants, I don’t think I expected perfection, but it is a give and take from natural breast and just requires adjusting. Definitely an improvement from my former breasts. Also adjusting better to the size.

I didn't even notice the rippling in the photo until I read the post! I don't think it noticeable, especially considering the subglandular position.
Can you give an update? Is the numbness going away? Are you happy with your results? I have a consult with Dr. Hartley in a couple weeks
I am happy, and adjusting a lot better. They are starting to feel more like my body and less like water balloons. Still very numb, but slowly getting better. I’d say I’m 50-75% numb, depending on breasts. I think you’ll like Dr. H. Good luck!
Your surgeon did a great job! They look awesome! What was your bra size before? What are you now? I am getting mine done in March and am beyond excited. I also work out 6-7 days a week mainly weight training. I am small to begin with but after breastfeeding and working out I am now an A. Looking to be a full C possibly small D but no bigger. Looking between 300-350 gummy bear implant under the muscle.
Thanks! I was a poor fitted 34b, but wore VS c, but their bras are poorly sized. I think I’m a C/D now. I just wear bralettes though, size S. Best of luck!
hi, I have found your post so useful and helpful. I am due the op in a few weeks and the surgeon is happy to do a subglandular position with 300cc like you although he has mentioned an increased chance of rippling because the skin is thin. My stats are very similar to yours I am a little worried as all the research seems to suggest that as I have a skin pinch thickness of 3cm I should opt for dual plane. Did you have this issue? Is there a specific implant you used? Thank you, any feedback would be really appreciated x
Thank you. I used mentor mod plus. I do have some slight rippling on the inside of right breast, which is annoying. If I had bad rippling, I would definitely regret the whole procedure. My surgeon didn’t think I would have any rippling due to quality of implant and natural tissue. I am still glad I did not cut muscle. If you are concerned ask about sub fascia, as that provides another layer over implant, but still stays over muscle. IMO that was still more intrusive then I wanted, and the benefits are arguable. Best of luck to you.
To be honest, subfascial is a really new technique and extremely difficult to pull off. Even my doctor, who is arguably one of the best in the US (the best imo) told me that he doesn't like to do subfascial because it is too difficult to differentiate where the fascial tissue is vs the muscle. The fascia is also extremely thin, delicate, and very difficult to separate from the actual muscle. This is especially true when you are only doing implants and the doctor has to work through a very small opening in the breast. From the research papers I've read, it's way more common for doctors to accidentally tear the fascia and compromise results, or to entirely miss the fascia and go submuscular anyway. I feel like this is information that is rarely talked about with patients when they want subfascial.

34 c!

So I know it’s early and they say not to size. But I feel like most of my inflammation is gone and beasts likely won’t change much? And I need better fitted sports bras. Just got the black in pic, it adjusts on band and straps, which I find that fits best. And 34 c! I know it’s just a stupid random number, but still makes me happy that I’m not bigger! (Of course not VS, which I’m done with). Also I got a supportive no underwire bra which is a XS and very comfortable. Won’t be buying wire bras anymore, for general breast health (clogging/blocking lymph nodes). I started that before BA, but still used old wire bras, which are being tossed.
(Purple sports bra, is an old one, still works, just a little overfilled)

Where did you get that lavender colored sports bra?
Can you share how tall you are?

Week 5

Still very numb, but some progress on left breast with feeling coming from my armpit in towards breast (read that nerves regrow at rate of hair).
Getting used to size...in fact... starting to think I’ve could’ve gone bigger!... nope, jk!
Bending over feels less weird (implant stays in place, without feeling like it’s dropping towards nipple) and I’ll try yoga again soon. Standing up and folding in two (nose to knees), breasts feel like they are dropping to chin. Obviously gravity. But wondering if that lessens with time? As they are held tighter with capsular.

Overall back to my gym routine (other than yoga), including body pump, and feel good in that regard.

Lymphatic massages are great and last time tried breast cupping. Highly recommend that! They instantly felt softer and more natural and somehow lighter. I’ll definitely keep doing that. Maybe it will also help with numbness? And help preserve health of breast tissue, which gets thinned and stretched with implants?

The pull on upper pole when I bend over is a little weird and unnatural, (where upper skin meets breast). Anyone else have that? Also, never realized how boney my sternum was, and implants definitely accentuate that, don’t love that look.

Been treating scars religiously and massaging both breast and scars. Therapist also massages scars and does cupping on them. Overall some progress.

I think they look great, so natural looking! I'm having mine today subglandular, hope they turn out as good as yours! X
Thank you! Good luck to you! I’ll jump over abs see your progress.
Fantastic! Your selection of implants matches your tall height; very proportional.
Thank you!
