I just want to leave my review for my BA with mr Ben chew at Glasgow Nuffield hospital. I had an absolutely fantastic experience and I would do it again in a heart beat! I want to leave this review and even thought Ben is a fantastic surgeon and was highly recommended to me from people within the industry I found it hard to find any reviews for breast enlargement.
So I am 8st, 21 year old, 5’7 ish and around size 8 clothes. I had chest size 32a and my confidence in clothes I could wear and when I was naked was very low due to my appearance. I actually had my surgery booked with mr chew back in May 2016 but cancelled as I couldn’t decide on a final implant size!
So January 2018 I booked my consultation with mr chew once again at Ross hill BMI, this was booed for 1st feb 18.
So I went to my consultation and we got my surgery booked for March 23rd 18 and I couldn’t wait! During consultation once again as my last Ben was very informative and gave me my options on what I could and could not do.
So with my surgery booked to have 350 mentor high profile round implants Ben advised me to buy two post op bras of 32D size. I bought two Asda George post op bras for £15!! And also two macoms which are a fair bit more expensive!
So op day
I booked my surgery for Nuffield Glasgow as Ben advised it was better to have it there. I was booked for an overnight. So op day arrived and my admission time was at 7.30am, I was shown to my room and in between the time of arriving and surgery so many people came to see me from the surgeon/anaesthetist to someone taking my food order so I can’t remember everyone. Ben came and drew on my chest and took my pre op pictures. My surgery was at 11.30.
Eventually 11.30 came and I was taken down in a lift to the surgery floor- it literally felt like I had stepped out of a transporter to a different world, everything was white and blue. I hadn’t been nervous about my op until I actually got down there and sat on the bed. There was a lovely man called Craig I’m sure and my anesthetiser with me, once the cannula was in(ouch)... my heart rate shot up lol, I had some pain killer given to me through this and I just got so dizzy after that, and I don’t even remember being put to sleep or when it was given to me lol!
So I woke in recovery which felt like the next second, I shot upright so quickly and gave the recovery staff a fright, my arms were in the air and everything, was like something from the poltergeist haha!
So they calmed me down, my heart rate was way up so they kept me on some oxygen for a while and then once I was off monitored my heart for a while. I remember the guy Craig sitting next to me and we were talking and what I think was making sense I was probably talking a lot of rubbish lol. So once I was settled I was wheeled back into the lift and up to my room, my nurse Christine who was alone fabulous was there and for me into my post op bra and into bed. When I woke in recovery the staff had said ‘oh you’ve had quite a bit of morphine!’ Think it was 15ml or something, but I was really feeling very sick, from 2pm when I got back to my room and eventually at 6pm I was sick, once I was sick I felt much better. Overall I didn’t really have much pain and was happy with how my new boobs were looking. Ben had also given me injections of local anaesthetic around both breasts this really helped with the pain and he said it’s something he always does and when he’s training advises his trainees to do so! So I was an overnight, I slept very well and my nurses were very good! Ben checked me the night of the surgery and said everything went well and he was really happy!
Next morning again everything all good, not much pain. Checked by nurses and surgeon once again and was given all clear to go home! I was really almost sad as I really enjoyed the experience of this surgery and hospital stay!
I was sent home with only paracetamol and burfen, and some codeine incase I do get more pain!
I’ve slept well since being home and just feel very tight, wouldn’t say it’s painful just discomfort.
I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen as my breast drop and fluff out!
Really I just want to thank Ben chew and all the staff at Nuffield. I trust everything they all said and trusted that Ben knew what was right for me Size wise with implants and I’m so happy!! I can already tell how much more confident I am going to feel!
Worth adding as well my dressings are waterproof which is good as I can wash straight away. I will go for my nurses appointment on 3 of April and meet with Ben again on 21st of May!
If anyone has any questions let me know x

These are post op day 2 pictures. First ones I’ve taken from the side view and they look so much bigger then front on. But I am very happy with how they look even thought I know how much drop and fluff has to come. I’m now on pod3 and I’m feeling slight more discomfort now from last night through time this morning. But I’ve only been taking paracetamol and burfen during the day and then the dihydrocodeine at night. Overall but it’s not what I would describe as pain, just uncomfortable and tight. I’ve not taken any pics for post op day 3 as I don’t want to micromanage now they look

Ok so I know it’s way to early to even be doing this but I couldn’t help myself. Tried on some comparison bikinis and tops!
I’m really freaking out about the gap inbetween even though mr chew said it will close up in Just so worried it won’t become as close as what I had wished them to :( but here hoping they move together as the swelling goes down and they drop/fluff!
