Bad Experience Unhappy with Implants and New Scar Tissue

Update

$24,000
I’d also like to add I was told that my results were good, the Dr. claimed he would even give my pictures to vaser and renuvion but didn’t cause I’m not happy with my results. If my results are what this office classified as good others should be cautious. Additionally very conveniently apparently I’m one of few that the Dr claimed had “near perfect results” on my breast augmentation and even though he “never says that” I’ve included pictures of my results take that as you will. Again all my opinion I wish I wouldn’t have ever gone here.

Hasn’t improved almost a year post op

Update is that the tethering has absolutely had zero improvement I also have a lot of uneven dips on my abdomen I didn’t see before. Additionally I’m not happy with my breast augmentation.
I believe in my opinion this is the absolute worst possible doctor I could have gone to. My aftercare was not good.
His office’s manager advised me that she believes my last doctor should have told me “no” for a previous revision which if that was the case it was extremely unprofessional and unethical for her boss to do a surgery afterwards taking over 24 thousand dollars. When I asked for my medical records I only received documents with highlights which according to the staff even after taking my money is too much of a hassle for a board certified plastic surgeon’s office to just send the original medical records.
I was asked what bra size I would like which I have now learned is frowned upon by many doctors because like myself most patients don’t know what a bra size looks like and it varies. I would have gone at least 100ccs bigger had I know this. I also didn’t have an understanding of how flat the Demi’s were and would have liked more projection. Again I have been told by multiple doctors that I will need surgery to fix the tethering caused by the seroma that likely was not drained on time and not properly treated. Two different doctors fear that I might have necrosis in that area which may explain the gray color. I brought this up to the doctor numerous times where I was advised it had nothing to do with the seroma and I was explicitly told it would go away in 9 to 12 months which has proven false as we are close to 12 months.
I went in after saving up over 20 thousand dollars with an expectation that at the very least I would experience professionalism from a board certified plastic surgeon and unfortunately not only did I not get that in my opinion I also got my body further destroyed. I now have what potentially can be necrosis, tethering, new scar tissue, asymmetrical breast which switched from the asymmetry I naturally had and the issues I wanted addressed are still there. Again this is my opinion and it might be different for others but this clinic is the worst thing that has happened to me.

Bad Experience Unhappy with Implants and New Scar Tissue

This review is solely based on my opion and experience with Dr. Petersen. Based on events and my results I wish I would have gone elsewhere. I already had a bad experience and was attempting to fix issues I had from prior liposuction. I went to many board certified surgeons and went here as I was led to believe this is the best choice. I wholehartedly regret my decision to go here and spend $24k that I had saved up to fix issues Ive been trying to fix for all of my mid to late 20s. In my opinion, instead of coming out happy I now have new issues that I will have to pay to fix.
Last June, I had Vaser Lipo 360 with Renuvion and a breast augmentation. Post-op, an MA appeared upset because I had difficulty waking up. During recovery, I was told I could remove my own drains. After a painful removal of the first, the second felt like it was part of my skin and would not budge. I called in a panic and was told to "just pull harder." Removing it caused heavy bleeding and internal pain; notably, the bent drain was visible in the clinic’s own photos from one day post-op.
The day after removal, I developed a lump in my abdomen. I was told it was likely just swelling, but it was liquid that had to be drained a few days later. The doctor originally said it initially would go away in 9 - 12 months, I am now 7 months post-op with skin tethering, a pouch, and a "ball" and "rope" feeling inside with little improvement. Other professionals have told me this likely won't resolve without surgery. I feel that Renuvion as a whole is horrible in my opinion is what led to a seroma which is now causing discomfort due to tethering and looks like a ball under my skin. Had I had a better understanding of Renuvion I would have only gotten vaser lipo which is what I initially was going to get before getting up sold to try Renuvion. My skin has completely reverted back despite claims that it did "amazing" the difference I see in my body is from removing uneven fat I had before from a prior unrelated lipo and revisions.
Additionally, I believe my breasts are uneven; one is lower and appears bigger, which are seen as they are over the muscle and the implant is visible at certain angles. I do wish I would have chosen to go 100+cc bigger as I feel the size I have just looks like large pecks.
I wrote a review around 5/6 months and have adjust to reflect both updates and to include missing info. I would like to add I have a Cerebellopontine angle (brain) tumor which is large as I have had it for years in addition to ADHD which affect my memory, so I need to make updates for most things I do in order for them to be fair and to include useful information. But really as any patient I have a right to post my honest review without being led to feel like I need to change my review for the benefit of a clinic. I received an email from staff to go in after including that I do not want to go in my review.
On Feb 6th, I flew in from out of state and paid hundreds for a follow-up. After being put in a disposable underwear for topless photos then given a robe, I was left in a very vulnerable position. I asked for a quote for a revision to go bigger and fix the issues I saw. The Dr. claimed my results were “near perfect” and had me further expose myself to show him the issues, even making me draw on my chest. I acknowledged that the asymmetry might be due to my broad shoulders or a previous tumor removal in my right breast, but the Dr. disagreed and appeared upset.
He accused me of adjusting my reviews just to keep them on top. The review was new as it was only up around 2 months. Again I have things which affect my memory, so I update my reviews accordingly. He accused me of wanting "perfect" results and questioned why I’d even come back if I didn't trust him. He claimed he could remove what he called "fibrosis" in my lower abdomen but said I’d have a large tummy tuck like scar, it will likely become worse and I may get a larger seroma. He claimed I did not want a tummy tuck due to the scar, which is false I advised I may want children and other drs told me to wait until after to have a full tummy tuck. The doctor disagreed with my concerns but I personally felt this was not from a medical perspective. At one point the doctor was upset I used the word "revision" in regard to asking for a quote for another breast augmentation, I am a computer info sec major getting my MBA in no way should I or another patient be expected to know proper medical terminology as I am a paying customer and I paid thousands of dollars for a medical professional that went to medical school and beyond to know the proper terms.
I felt humiliated and attacked during what felt like a planned confrontation. I was overwhelmed and crying hysterically, while the Dr. appeared to care more about his reviews than my concerns as a paying client. To add on to everything I was instructed to take more pictures after I was humiliated while hysterically crying further making me feel violated and no longer in a trusted space. While I am happy to have a waistline again, I felt violated in a way I never expected from a board-certified surgeon. I have canceled all future appointments and would never recommend this clinic due to my experience. Esther pulled me to the side and calmed me down. I will now have to spend additional money on top of the 24k spent here, which does not include fajas and aftercare expenses as that is thousands of dollars more.

I have included images. I will note that I have loose skin due to 60+ pound weight loss. I had more fibrosis under my belly button which went down after the vaser lipo. Pre seroma I was happy with my abdominal results. My back has reverted completely after around 3 months so the renuvion I do not believe helped much. The skin only appeared worse which I believe, in my non medical opinion, is due to the tethering of the area that previously had a seroma and already existing fibrosis. I have removed scars and birthmarks for my identity to remain anonymous online.
