Amazing Skill—gave Me my Pre Cancer Body Back!

My story isn’t a pleasant one…but it has a happy ending thanks to Dr. Anna Steve! I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2015 which required a radical mastectomy of my left breast. It was reconstructed with a silicone implant…but in 2017 I had to have it replaced because of a capsular contracture. By 2020, I had another capsular contracture…and the lift they did on the right side was starting to fall so the two breasts looked wildly different. I am a 52 year old woman, so I’m not expecting to look like I did when I was 25. However, every time I looked in the mirror I felt disgusted with my appearance and was reminded of what I went through with the cancer. Every plastic surgeon I talked to about having it replaced a third time made me feel silly and vain for wanting to try and fix them. Until I met Dr. Anna. Immediately she put me at ease and told me I deserved to love what I see in the mirror. She explained all of my options and helped me to understand all the pros and cons. She gave me her email and her cell phone and welcomed me to contact her at any time. On surgery day, I was nervous during the IV process but she held my hand and reassured me. Since I had traveled for the surgery she came to my hotel the next day to check in on me. Also a shout out to the amazing nurses who took care of me—Shannon, Chloe and Tara! They also texted, called and emailed me to make sure all was going well. I’m only a week and a half post-op but I am healing wonderfully. I’m so grateful to Dr. Anna for giving me my body back.
