Breast have begun to fall a little and round out and they look beautiful. I was able to remove the surgical tape and wash the incision. The scar looks good. I am patiently waiting for the marker to fade. I was told not to scrub the skin it will fade over time. As of now, my areolas and outer part of my breast on the side, are tender/sore to the touch.
At day 14 I began taking vitamin E pills and I started my massages. I am still a little tight in my chest area, which is normal. Also still hydrating everyday with at least 1/2 a gallon of water per day.

Day1
PACU
— initially woke up feeling fine with a lot of pressure on my chest, which was expected.
Leaving
—it had been a total of 21 hours since my last meal so I was HUNGRY! I had a banana waiting in the car. After eating the banana I immediately went to Panera to grab chicken noodle soup and a green passion smoothie. I drank the majority of the smoothie on the ride home and ate the soup once I was home. My stomach felt fine. One thing to note is, normally I almost always have a bowel movement after drinking the smoothie. This time, I did not. This was my reminder that I really needed the stool softeners the Dr prescribed (however this couldn’t be taken until the day after the surgery).
—I continued to hydrate with water and made sure to get up every hour and walk around for at least 5 mins.
—Later in the evening I had salmon and a fresh salad with no dressing & extra cucumbers.
I made sure to continue hydrating. By this time I finished dinner I had drank at least a half gallon of water. I took my first Percocet for pain after dinner but probably should have taken it a little earlier before the pain meds from the hospital wore off.
I took my second perc before I decided to lay down for bed, which was about 4hrs later. I was instructed that I could consume up to 8 within a 24hr period.
Lounging/ Sleeping
You’ll leave the hospital with a Velcro band that goes around the top of your chest and it will be TIGHT! This will create pressure on both your chest but the worst part is the pressure it puts on your upper back. You’ll need to fight through it but just a warning it is annoying when trying to get comfortable and trying to sleep.
I noticed that the more I laid at an incline when sleeping, the less my chest hurt through the night.
They tell you to get a lot of rest but I did NOT sleep well the first night. I kept waking up thirsty, which then made me have to get up to use the restroom & prevented me from getting any uninterrupted sleep.
Day 2
I traveled from out of town for my procedure so the day after the procedure I flew back home.
Airport
Getting through the airport was fine and helped with me getting the walking in that is needed to prevent blood clots. Be prepared to go back through the body scanner & then taken to a private room for additional screening due to the padding/bandages being super dense, so a normal pat down won’t work.
Continue to eat and get your fluids in. Remember no sugar. Depending on the time you had your surgery the day before, you should be able to take your ace bandage off, which will relieve a little bit of the pressure. You’ll still need to wear the band/strap across the top of your chest though to ensure your implants fall into the pocket correctly.
Day 2 of recovery was painful. I got really swollen. My chest felt engorged. Remember to ice as much as possible. 15-20 mins on and 15-20 mins off.
Day 2 is when I began my antibiotics, stool softeners, & continued with pain meds every 3-4hrs.
Day 3
I woke up much more sore and swollen. I looked forward to being able to take my first shower. The best part was taking everything off. It felt good to relieve the pressure from the bra and strap. You’ll also get to scratch all the places that begin to itch once you remove the bra. Day 3 is also when I had my first bowel movement without having to take the Miralax. The stool softeners def helped out a lot. I also discontinued the Percocet and switched to Tylenol extra strength.
I was very intentional about what I ate as I wanted the best recovery possible and one of the ways to ensure that is eating foods that promote healthy healing. I ate a lot of apples, sweet potatoes, baked chicken, broccoli, and grapes. I also made sure to drink at least a gallon of water and a protein shake.
All in all I felt okay but a lot of discomfort when trying to sleep. Being honest, sleeping was horrible. Be sure to get a body pillow to help keep you at an incline.

So Worth It
For along as I can remember, I always wanted breasts. Dr. Davoudi did an amazing job. Dr. Davoudi did a great job making me feel comfortable and answering all my questions. I'm so happy finally did it.
