800cc Breast Implants

I am 5’9 weighing 190 lbs. In 2013 I had 400cc breast implants. From the start I was to happy with the size. I thought they should be much larger for my frame. I started researching and found Dr. Surgio Alvarez from Mia Aesthetic in Miami. I booked my appointment and surgery all over the phone. Never meeting this office until the day before my surgery had me very nervous. The office contacted me several time prior to my arrival and were all very friendly. When I got to the office, I felt a sigh of relief. People came all over the United States to have their surgery performed by Dr. Alvarez. The staff was more friendly in person. The pre-op appointment was to get my vial signs, to pay for the procedure, and get my prescriptions. One nurse even showed me her implants performed by Dr. Alvarez. Seeing his work in person prior to my surgery made me at ease with mine. But I still never met the doctor or picked out my implant size. I was told we would do that tomorrow which was surgery day. SURGERY DAY: I was to arrive at another facility for surgery at 7:30am. At around 8:20 I was took back into a room by myself about the size of a small closet. I had to take a urine drug screen and pregnancy test back there. The nurse anesthetist came in before I ever met Dr. Alvarez and started my IV. Dr. Alvarez came in to discuss implants, draw on me, and look prior to the procedure. I told him I at least wanted 850cc implants but obviously wanted his input on the sizing. He told me the largest silicone gel implants made at this time was 800cc but he only had 700cc on site so he would have to call the rep to see if he could get them. Now I’m kind of disappointed that I may not get what I was coming for. I made my mind up was not going to get the 700cc! A little while later the nurse anesthetist came back in to check on me. I asked him if they found the 800cc implants but he didn’t know. The nurse came in and informed me of the great news. Not only did they find 800cc Natrelle implants but they were here ready for me. At 10:10am I was took back to the operating room. I was extremely nervous at this point. No medication was given yet to calm my nerves or anything prior to now. I laid on the table, a nurse put an oxygen mask on me, the nurse anesthetist put something in my IV. The medication he put in my IV burned bad. The nurse rubbed my arm for me and I told her I was nervous. She calmly stated don’t worry we are giving you something now to help calm you down. And that’s all I remember until I was being woke up in the recovery room. Around 11:30-12:00 I was leaving the facility headed to the hotel. I had to immediately take the pain medication due to the pain. When I arrived at the hotel, I went straight to bed. I slept most of the day but was able to get up that afternoon and walk around outside. The nurses called me 3 times checking on me after my surgery. DAY AFTER SURGERY: I am sore and having to take my pain medication but I think I’m doing fairly well. My post-op appointment is today at 11:30am.

Today I went to my last post-op appointment before I was released to go back home. I have had minor pain the last couple of days only having to take the pain medication at night. Other than not being able to lift anything for 6 weeks and getting to wear this lovely designer bra for 5 more weeks I’m back to normal activity. My appointment went well today. After removing the paper tape on the incisions, the PA informed me everything is healing well and she didn’t see any concerns!
